Mash Potatoes

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed dining here. We ordered from both the dinner and lunch menus as well as getting two of the daily specials. All the food was excellent. The service was pleasant and efficient. Additionally appreciated is the subdued atmosphere that allow to actually hear and be heard by others at your table.

Fairly disappointed by the meal. The menu appeared to have a decent selection of American dishes. However, upon odering my meal of 'double trouble,' which is a pulled pork with a side of some potatoes, I was greatly disappointed by the taste. It tasted as if it had been in the fridge and not heated properly and the portion was very small as well. Overall the service and atmosphere was quiant and the wait wasn't to long but the food quality was miserable. Please don't make the mistake of coming and ordering entree dish and expecting a great experience!

This place has incredibly delicious, home made tasting food available for dine in or carry out. The food is prepared by a great chef and it is all amazing! They have quite a nice selection of daily menu items from which to choose. Some of my favorites are the loaded mashed potatoes and the meat loaf. Also, the deserts are incredible including the Nutella cheesecake and the chocolate chip cookie pie! You cannot go wrong with this little gem in South Miami. While it may be a little hard to find, it is worth the trip! Check this place out next time you want to take some gourmet quality food home to the family.

I've consumed my fair share of brie and burgers throughout my lifetime, and it's safe to say that I've had much better food for a better value at other establishments. I feel as though Scott's Bistro has the potential to be much better than it is now--they just need to improve their delivery service and entree options. 1: Don't leave customers waiting over two hours for a food delivery. If you're running behind, be courteous enough to call them and let them know. The last thing you want is a customer calling in, completely irritated. Be proactive. Show that you care about customer service. 2: Ensure that your delivery employee has an insulated parcel to transport the food. Nothing is more irritating than having all of your food arrive COLD. If I wanted to heat something up in the microwave to eat, I would have just opened my fridge instead of ordering out--it would have been far less expensive and time-consuming. 3: If you're going to charge $13+ for a burger, include fries with it. You can't charge an arm and a leg just because it has one slice of brie on it. I can get something more flavorful for half the price at Shake Shack or Pincho Factory.

The name Mash Potatoes has been resonating for quite a long time. My friends are always raving about it. As a “foodie” and restaurant reviewer I had to go and experience what everyone was talking about. I get there the place is packed, always a good sign. The restaurant was immaculate- spotless. I was genuinely greeted with a smile and heartfelt welcome. I noticed dishes were coming out; my nose led the way to the Mac and Cheese next to me- two different versions caught my eye. Booth versions looked scrumptious, the cheese ooze from inside. The aroma ignited my palate and senses, I was ready to order. I ordered the Meatloaf, I believe it’s one of the Chef’s signature dishes, Mac and Cheese and the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Chicken. The meatloaf was tender and moist, velvety, rich and meaty in flavor. Exactly what you expect from meatloaf, you can taste all the ingredients. I wanted more! The Mac and Cheese exquisite, a perfect combination of textures-crispy on the top and viscous in the middle. I couldn’t ask for a fresher beat salad with goat cheese and chicken on a bed of mixed greens. The salad was wonderfully earthy sweet; the homemade vinaigrette enhanced the sweetness of the Beets. I ordered the most enjoyable and delectable chocolate mousse I have tasted in years. It was frothy, chocolaty, savory and fresh. I highly recommend the Mouse and Banana Bread. I’ve been back to Mash Potatoes four times and the experience has been delightful and satisfying. Next time you yearn for a home cooked meal, take a detour to Mash Potatoes.
