Cranbourne Charcoal Chicken

Just received my order today and very disappointed. Have gone to this place a few times to get my order, it was fine, but today I ordered my food through Menulog and it was delivered to me with food full of salt, can’t eat it. In the last two weeks I’ve had few orders being delivered to me through Menulog in the same order where they have missed something or ruined something. I don’t know whether this is restaurant bullying but kindly fix your service. Also I don’t just eat salt for food, the last I checked.

We are regulars at Cranbourne Charcoal chicken and chips, and we are never disappointed. Today we tried the new menu item HSP and we loved it. This meal is gluten free and as a Coeliac we are so grateful. Our other favorite food here is the egg salad, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw and Greek salad. Plus the chips are gluten free!

Was pretty disappointed as a coeliac there is basically nothing other than chicken they said was coeliac safe - as in, just chicken on a plate. I told them ALL chicken was coeliac safe so that’s nothing special. I asked if they at least had gluten free wraps, so I could get a kebab - no, of course they don’t have any gluten free wraps or bread. I asked if they have a deep-fried chicken gluten free option. Nope - of course they don’t offer a GF option for fried chicken… They said I could have grilled chicken and lettuce on a plate and that is their gluten free option. I asked why they advertise on the sign outside that they are a gluten free shop if practically nothing they offer on their massive menu is gluten free and basically just got a blank stare back - so I walked out. What a waste of a trip!! Edit: Definitely the right place. Everything you’ve mentioned is Gluten Free anyway. Chicken and chips are gluten free naturally. Where is your deep fried chicken with a gluten free batter? Where is your gluten free gravy? Where is the gluten free chicken Parma? Where is your gluten free burger bread? Where is your gluten free wraps? Where is your gluten free pasta? Those things are not hard to make or buy in and would actually set you apart as a gluten free destination, rather than advertising roast chicken and chips as gluten free like its something special.

COELIACS BEWARE!! Long time customer here as a coeliac to unfortunately get glutened :( I ordered chips, they were cooked in the gluten free fryer. The girl then tipped half the chips in the box and the other half in the section where they scoop them up with the scoop only for the girl to then scoop chips up and put them in the box(she must’ve been topping up my order). Been early in the day I (stupidly) assumed that’s what they do and the chips would be safe for a coeliac. I ate a cold chip and I realised straight away…that chip must’ve been cooked in the non gf fryer…I suffered effects of glutening for days. I was a regular customer here but now I don’t have any trust :(
