The Thirsty Turtle - Cranford

First, I would like to mention that I love that they have gluten free options. I didn’t order it but I did hear the bartender mention that they also have a gluten free cookie Sunday. We ordered the spinach dip, the flavor was good but it definitely could have been warmer. For my entree I ordered a side of broccoli, mashed potatoes and French onion soup without the croutons (gluten free) and it was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Pork Tenderloin, it came with broccoli and mashed potatoes and he really enjoyed it (although it too, was not quite as warm as it should have been) with all of that said, the foods flavor was amazing, you could tell that there are fresh herbs being used in their dishes, and even thought the food wasn’t as hot as it should be - I do recommend the place. It could have been something as simple as being short staffed. Update…. We came back for a second time, and the food was hot and delicious :)

First time coming here and our waitress was Bri (Brianna) she was the best server Ive ever encountered for sure. She went above and beyond and the drinks? INCREDIBLE. So friendly. Definitely made me want to come back. Food: SO GOOD. The cornbread was a little too sweet, taste like cake but the ribs did compliment it well. The Mac and cheese was bleh, it was on the kids menu. The fries were good. Overall my experience was a great one. The blue drink I had was called "Sea Turtle", recommended by Bri! Thank you Bri! PS: I went with a friend and OVER ORDERED, but my total came out to be $43 with what you see here in the photos.

Ordered guacamole and chips with drinks at happy hour. Good portion of guacamole, but only a handful of chips. When we asked for more chips, waitress said she had to charge $3, restaurant policy. Seems pretty petty, nickel and diming customers. Otherwise good environment and great selection of beers on tap.

Starting to love this place. The blackboard shows the ever changing drafts. Oooh, so many good choices for a beer lover like me. Can you believe they had so many I hadn't tried? They had brands I was familiar with, Grimm, Troegs, Kane, Maine, so i was intrigued. Enter Richard, who offered tastes, very generously. He's a great employee with a smiling, fun attitude who wants everyone to have a great experience. Thank you for an enjoyable few beers on a Saturday afternoon. Good hot pretzels too. I don't pay much attention to food here because this is a monument to the high quality beer Era we are in right now. Good job Thirsty Turtle.
