Vinny's Pizza & Pasta

I ordered for the first time from Vinnie’s in over the two years I moved back to Cranford. I usually ordered from Calabria….my son worked there and I know the family. I would order once or twice a week… the grandma’s pizza I got last Friday went right in the garbage. Bottom crust was so undercooked. They would deliver late…or not at all…I’m too easy going and don’t complain. But Vinnie’s is my new go to. Grandma pizza is just how it should be….good bye Soma family…hello Vinnie’s after two years….

I can only speak about their pizza, but I have so much to say. They make the BEST grandma slices around. The dough is flakey and crispy, the sauce is thick and flavorful and cheese is perfectly melted. (It's quite evident they use a good quality mozzarella). I wish I could marry a man who is like this pizza because I fall in love every time we're in each other's presence.

The pizza is amazing and the service is good. Sometimes, when it gets really busy the level decreases, so just be patient. However, the food remains constant. I am big fan of the Vinny's special pie, their salads with grilled chicken and their chicken soup. Also their antipasto salad is massive, so try to stay with the small one though. So far i haven't found anything on their menu which my family or I don't like. Just try to avoid the peak times on Friday and Saturday. Otherwise you will be waiting +1 hour for pickup or closer to 2 for delivery. Also small piece of advice, keep an eye on the parking lot since delivery drivers tend to park anywhere and sometimes they might block your car and won't allow you to leave. Thankfully the folks at Vinny's will get out of the way quickly unlike the ones from the other businesses.

I would not recommend this place as they can’t handle busy times. Ordered at 6:09PM and after two phone calls the food showed up. The salad had brown lettuce and the panini was dried out as it had been sitting around a very long time. The quality of the food is usually good here and thought I’d be leaving a 5 star review but it turns out that I’m being generous giving them 1-star. Highly disappointing and with so many quality restaurants around you will be better served to go elsewhere for your food delivery services. When we called for a status update the person could not provide a valid reason why it was taking over 2 hours to get the delivery.
