Squire's Cafe Bar

Looking a bit shabby, plants not too great condition either for the price, not Squires usual Standard. Whole centre and cafe needs a makeover. Staff in cafe nice, cake & tea good value but again outside seat area, seen better days for showing off garden plants. Shame really. Good selection of stuff , already Christmas in there.

Nipped in for a spot of lunch with the family in tow en route to the town centre as didn't want to contend with crowds closer to town. Really glad we stopped by, Colin was our lovely server, helped the kids to develop some self confidence around coming to the counter to ask for extra drinks, very attentive. No hard pushy sell or hovering by as sometimes happens at other small restaurants. The butternut squash and roasted pepper soup was especially nice as was the bacon and mushroom quiche. Service was prompt to the table, the children's food and drinks came out first which is always appreciated with youngsters.

Visited Mambo Jambos painting studio with my 5yr old granddaughter for our girlie day together, and it was wonderful. She loved it and so did I. The staff were very helpful and polite. We had our food delivered to our painting table so we could carry on with our pieces, which made it all so easy and convenient for us. Can't fault the service, or the food. Play areas outside Mambo Jambos meant my granddaughter could have more fun, at no extra cost, and she made 2 new little friends along the way. All in all a great experience and we will be going back.

So it took me three visits to make my mind up on a garden furniture set! Iffy, the member of staff who helped me was absolutely brilliant. Wasn't pushy but was supportive so I eventually purchased the furniture. I know that aftersales, should I need it, will be there for me. All the staff have been friendly and helpful plus the delivery chaps were friendly and helpful too. A team that should be looked after in my opinion.
