Outback Steakhouse

Appetizers came out pretty quick. Servers are responsive. From someone who doesn't generally like potatoes, I thought the sweet potato was really good! For some of the near (like fillet mignon and the garlic medallions), the medium and even medium-rare are not that rare, but the meat is still tender, etc. Good vibes!!

My wife and I have never been to an Outback. We decided to go at least once, just to get it out of our system. I was a bit concerned from all the negative reviews. However, we had a good experience. The service was excellent. We were greeted when we entered. The host said it would be a 15 minute wait, and we were seated sooner than that. Our server Joshua was friendly. He made sure we were aware of any up charge when we added options to our entree. Our water was filled consistently, and plates were cleared promptly. When we were missing condiments, he brought it quickly. The food was decent chain restaurant quality. The Bloomin' Onion (free with Yelp checkin) was too salty. (Joshua gave us a wonderful idea - stir fry it with eggs for breakfast!) My chicken tortilla soup had one piece of chicken. The sirloin steak was good for the price of the special. For us, it was the service that made an enjoyable experience. Good job Joshua!

Service was fast and attentive. I had the Filet Mignon cooked to medium temperature, which was tasty. The meat was well seasoned, and the temperature was accurate. The sides of mashed potatoes and mac n' cheese were decent. The booth we were seated in were very cramped and uncomfortable, so I would advise getting a table instead. Outback also has the kiosk tablets for payment (similar to Applebee's and Chili's) which were very distracting and annoying because they kept showing random stuff that couldn't be turned off. Overall, the good food and bad ambience made it an okay visit.

The place is clean and in order. We were greeted by the receptionist and were seated right away. The server came quick. Our main dish took a little bit long to get served. The sirloin steak that I ordered medium well was a little bit on the tough side. The queensland’s pasta was good. Serving is on the small side and the price is on the high side. The server was great and attentive to our needs.

This lackluster restaurant was practically empty when we arrived late evening, and yet for no apparent reason, we were asked to wait almost ten minutes to be seated. Off to a bad start, which only grew worse. The restaurant was well staffed, and yet the food service was slow, with a less than enthusiastic manager and staff, excepting one waitress and one waiter who were pleasant and cheery - sadly we didn't see enough of them Appetizers arrived at the same time as the main course, and one was so badly overcooked that we had to send it back. To the restaurant's credit, they gave us a replacement gratis, but alas it too was overdone a bit, and didn't arrive until we'd finished our meal, making it even less appealing. The food was otherwise okay, but unremarkable, especially considering the bill, $70 for three. Altogether, a disappointing experience.

Have tried Outback back home and comparing the quality, I would say the food quality is very similar. I'll rate 4 star is due to the salty shroom. The fried mushoom probably called shroom is rather salty. Steaks are well prepared, does not taste dry or hard for the medium. Onion soup is a good choice.
