This is a true Dallas hidden gem. It's one thing to have amazing beers on rotation, a ranged menu where everything is tasty, a great atmosphere with local Dallasites and friends... it's about the consistency folks. They do this day in and day out. There's always a manager on staff, the wait staff is always knowledgeable and courteous, hardworking and fast. The food ALWAYS hits and I've never experienced a "bad food day". The Goodfriend burger is a smashburger done expertly with a twist. The salads are made with real ingredients and generously dressed. It's clean. It's fast. It's affordable. What more can I say. This is a true Dallas gem that consistently hits , never had a bad day, all thanks to the hardworking management that prove they care about this place, the staff that are kind and hardworking, the delicious food , the engaging bar staff, etc etc. I've been coming here for years, encourage others to come here and hope more people come to eat at Goodfriend.

Best service. As good as these fine dining establishments. So many friendly faces coming around to check on us. I’d go back just for that but thankfully the food was great as well. Everything tasted great and they have a wide variety of beers (probably comes with the “beer garden” territory haha) The prices are unusually low for Dallas and for what you’re getting. Will be coming back

10/10 everything! Must stop in! The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was great and very attentive, the perfect amount. He was very patient with us and recommended stuff since we had never been there. We came specifically for the burgers which were amazing! Some of the best out in Dallas for sure. They have tons of beer on tap. The overall environment is great! It's like a gigantic garage style bar/restaurant. Plenty of TVs and space. They have a really cool outdoor seating area with heaters and fire pits. Another thing to note. Holy Heck. The food. The chips trio and cheesecake (to go) came out in lightening speed! The food also came out quick but we were overall impressed with the speed and quality. The burgers were cooked fresh and delicious. We forgot and didn't realize the burgers don't come with fries but otherwise this was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

I wish I could do 4.5 stars. Not surprising the beer menu is AWESOME! On tap rotates regularly and the staff knows their stuff! The hamburgers are really good. I didn’t care for the wings as there was to much BBQ sauce for my liking. Also, the bread pudding is good but served cold. Needs to be warmed up and then would be perfect.

What a hidden gem. Stopped in for a quick dinner and beer. I was very impressed by the beer selection! I like dark and stout beers and most places have maybe one to choose from. This place had multiple. My girl had turkey burger which she enjoyed but the star of the show was the Bourdain burger. It's a double smashed burger with L,T,P,O. Nothing fancy but best burger I've had in awhile. We split the half and half waffle/ sweet potato fries. If you like spicy, get a side of the ghost pepper dipping sauce! It's really good! I would definitely go back and highly recommend!

The Bourdain Burger at Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House @goodfriendbg is claimed to be one of the best burgers in the Dallas area by D Magazine and The Dallas Observer. We definitely had to find out for ourselves!! The Burger: 🍔🍔🍔 Again, we came here for a purpose, a mission, and first people at the restaurant when it opens at 4pm….just so we can try….”The Bourdain Burger”….was it worth it??....”Oh, Hell Yes!!” ….This burger is made up of only a few ingredients: 2 beef patties, American cheese, kewpie mayo, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. Although there were only a few simple ingredients, this burger was so very flavorful. The patties were seasoned from top to bottom and inside/out, I literally could taste the seasoning with each bite. Clearly, they are using the best ingredients, especially with the American cheese, which tasted phenomenal and melted just right onto the patties! I can honestly say I now see why this burger has the awards, accolades, and recognitions. Well deserved!! The Sides: 🧀🧀🧀🍟🍟🍟🍗🍗🍗 For side orders, we had the Cheese Fries and the Chicken Wings(KFC Flavor).. The cheese fries were ok. The waffle fries were crunchy with some good cheese and tasty toppings. Unfortunately, the chicken wings weren’t my favorite. I didn’t really care for the way they were cooked, nor did I like how they were seasoned. I initially wanted to try the Frito Pie, but the server talked me out of it and said I should get the wings….😂😂….ill get it next time…. The Service: I enjoyed the owner, Matt, coming over to our table and explaining how the infamous burger came about and how the chef came up with the concept. He was very cool and welcoming. Goodfriend is a burger option that I'm very excited to return to. The burgers are grilled fresh to perfection. The fries come in regular or sweet potato waffle cuts and are perfectly salted. Outdoor seating is available with heaters and indoor seating is extensive as long as you're okay with a dimmer feel inside the bar area. So many burger bars offer forgettable food so it's fantastic to find an option so strong and flavorful in a neighborhood bar.
