The Charles

Wow this place is decked out to the nines. Incredible atmosphere and almost every single employee greeted me or said something nice in passing even if I was just making a trip to the restroom or valet. The bar in particular is gorgeous. Serving sizes could be increased and some of the flavors were a tad off from what was described on the menu. Definitely make a reservation in advance. I’ll be back for cocktails and apps!

A “hidden gem”. I don’t like to post about places like this because other people might ruin it, but this place deserves it. Austin was our server and hands down…he made us feel like royalty. Nate made sure we were taken care of as well. He made sure we were having an exquisite time. We definitely were. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank y’all for a wonderful night!

If you’ve heard of, or been referred to The Charles and comments include, beautiful, amazing service or exquisite cusine; They’re all true! Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve enjoyed in Dallas, and I’ve enjoyed many amazing places. From the moment you arrive to Valet, and the hostess, you’re greeted with the warmest of greetings. You’ll appreciate the teamwork every member of the staff, right to the GM, exude, to assure your experience is amazing. Our server Austin was so knowledgeable and warm, our time enjoying our fabulous cuisine and cocktails passed far too quickly. The Charles enjoys a diverse clientele, both in demographic and attire. The eclectic dining area with its open kitchen and stylish bar are petite in size, arousing memories of the ambiance of fine dining cars of luxury railways. Not to be outdone, they’ve even managed to incorporate through the kitchen, a speakeasy (Bar Charles) that elevates the vibe of the night, while maintaining the same amazing service, and dining experience. You can always visit for cocktails, however, If you’re on a tight budget, the full Charles experience may be one you’ll save for a special occasion; it will be so worth it. My family thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience on Saturday evening! We are originally from the northeast, and consider the big cities (NYC, Boston, and Philly especially) to boast the greatest number of excellent restaurants. After moving to Texas, it’s been very challenging to find restaurants that come close to competing with the quality and experience we are accustomed to. The Charles - it does just that! We were blown away by the entire dining experience and cannot wait for the opportunity to return! The food, the ambiance, and the customer service were all top-notch! Dave was a very attentive server - we are so thrilled he encouraged us to try the Chef’s Tasting Menu (Omakase style). He gave us a brief tour of the speakeasy as well; we look forward to checking it out on our next visit. And what a surprise to get to enjoy the Wagyu steak as part of the meal! Everything was delicious and we did not leave hungry! Thank you for a great dining experience and also for welcoming our toddler to the table. She loved her meal and the great choice in music for the dining room!

First time going to the Charles last night and it was great. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there and they were so accommodating. So many of the staff stopped by our table to greet us and made us feel special. The food was excellent as well. I hope when we visit again we can try a different seasonal menu. Wine selection was great as well. The vibe is very romantic and intimate. Nate made sure we had a great time. He had such great energy and wide knowledge of the food and drinks. They also have complimentary valet which is a plus. Will definitely be back.

Excellent. That pretty much sums up the experience here. This is an Italian inspired presentation of extremely high quality food that is prepared and plated like a Michelin star restaurant. The service is exceptional and the wine list is long. There is a secret Speakeasy in the back as well after you are done dining. I can't wait to come back and try other items on this menu.

Really enjoyed this place. We went with a group of 7 for my bday. They have a speak-easy section through the kitchen where we had drinks and our private-ish group table was at. Our waiter was great. Drinks and food were very good. Only draw back is that the size of the dishes are a bit small for the price, in my opinion. We'll definitely go back

Truly the best service I’ve had from any restaurant! What a special experience. The food and drinks were incredible, along with the entire staff. Highly recommend the spicy marg, pink snapper crudo, and the shrimp pasta. I’ve been GF since 2012 and hands down the best GF pasta too. Can’t wait to go back!
