Pappas Bar-b-q

Came here for a quick bite to eat, and was floored with how good it was. The tangy bbq sauce was excellent. It was decorated well, and had plenty of space. Hearing the rain on a tin roof just added to the overall feeling of western bbq. Not the best bbq in the state, but WAY better than any fast food joint, and worth stopping in.

Pappas makes some of the consistently best BBQ around anywhere in Texas! I especially love their Pork Ribs smoked in their sweet glaze sauce. But this place has everything. Chicken, pork, pork or beef ribs, baby back ribs, smoked turkey breast and sausages. All smoked onsite in their huge rotary all smoked with the best smoking wood, hickory. No oak or mesquite or other woods to add funky flavors, just authentic hickory. And don't forget their awesome carrot cake! Best I have ever had in my 60 years of livin! Take some home or dine in! Great BBQ and great sides and 3 types of homemade sauces!

Amazing!! I was traveling from Houston and we found this location nearby our hotel. We had to come and check it out. I ordered online early that Sunday morning, arrived late, and they still were nice enough to hold my huge order. I needed it for a graduation party and they came through. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Thank you Pappas BBQ Dallas. I'll be back soon.

I didn't know this place was a chain and usually prefer small business BBQ joints if I'm paying these prices for this type of food. That being said, it was very good! I think it's a little pricier compared to other places you could go to but I would prefer this compared to Spring Creek or Dickey's if we are talking chains. Mac and cheese was creamy and, well, cheesy. It had a smokey flavor to it which was nice. The brisket fell apart and was very juicy. It's definitely the star of the show. The ribs had an interesting rub which was a bit too sweet in my opinion but it was an overall delicious meal. Ham is nothing special. Sausage was yum. And definitely try the habanero BBQ sauce! It's not that spicy and is a tasty addition. To be honest though, the overall area brings the place down. If this was in a better area, I imagine it would do much better.
