There has been a change in kitchen and the food is not quite what it used to be. Still, this would get a stronger rating if it were not for the bar and bar staff lining half of the dining area.
It would be one thing to have a rowdy pub-like atmosphere in a pub, but televised sports, guffawing bartenders, and loud bar patrons don't mesh with the restaurant's vibe.
We've come to the Front Room for both business and social meals. I don't think we'll ve back.

Tried this out for a celebration dinner. the staff was very helpful. the food was cooked perfectly (great pork chop). It is definitely more of a tavern than a restaurant. a very limited selection of food and is geared more towards its tavern side of things. For the price I probably would not go again though.

First off, I love the Hotel Lumen, and the Front Room Tavern has good food and drinks, and the waitresses are helpful and friendly. Either before or after dinner, make sure you visit the rooftop over looking SMU for a drink or dessert.
