This was a great find! The place looks very unassuming and even closed but don’t be fooled! It’s opened, walk to the left once you are inside as you will need to place your order. The staff was friendly and the food was good! We tried the 4-meat platter and is was a great choice! We had the pulled pork, the ribs, chicken and brisket. We also got the beans, Mac-n-cheese, corn bread, onion rings and fries, everything was good! We will definitely be back when visiting Texas!

Easy to find, very friendly and welcoming staff. Many choices to eat. We got Brisket, Ribs, Pulled pork and Chicken. Cheddar Mac, Cream corn , corn bread, Fries, Okra. Everything was delicious.

Unassuming spot with just a few customers on a Saturday night - ordered to go but they do it right, definitely up there with some of the more well known joints in the area. Brisket had a nice deep smoke complemented perfectly by the BBQ sauce, nice and tender with a good balance of fat and meat. Ribs were meaty and flavorful. Fried okra might be the best I've had, made fresh to order (same with the slaw). Cornbread nicely browned with good flavor. Highly recommended.

One of the best BBQ joints I’ve ever been to. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were happy to suggest their best dishes and checked whether I was happy with my choices. The pulled pork was superbly moist and juicy, filled with Smokey flavors and an excellent BBQ sauce. The ribs were soft, tender and packed with flavor. And the side dishes, unbeatable. Not sure which one was better - the corn bread or the sweet potatoes. I’ll come back as soon as I’m in the Dallas area again in the future.

Highly recommend stopping here for BBQ and beers. Service was good and the place was cool! I got the 2 meat plate, ribs and brisket and I definitely recommend both. Both were tinder and juicy. There's a good selection of sides as well. Green beans, sweet potatoes etc ... I definitely recommend getting out of the city and eating here. Way better serving sizes and way better flavor!

Fall off the bone St Louis ribs. They have a nice spice to them and are juicy tender. The beans lack a bit so I add sauce n brisket to level em off. The bar setting combo is great and gives a historic saloon feel.

Everyone was super nice! The bbq staff are amazing and humble. The bar tenders favorite cocktail to make is a Tom Collins so ask for that. Wasn't to fond of the potato salad, it was very bland. Everything else was amazing!!! My new hole in the wall tradition when I'm in Dallas for sure!

This is one of those places off the beaten path that's totally worth it if you're focus is excellent food. Generous portions, excellent taste, friendly staff. Facilities leave a bit to be desired, but judging by the part of town it's in, understandable. If you want a huge selection of really yummy smoked meats, this is the place!

Go for the BBQ and the scratch made sides. We had the ribs, brisket and smoked meatloaf and recommend all 3. The apple slaw, sweet potato casserole, and onion rings are spot on and you cannot beat the cornbread. Next time we will try the drinks at the bar.

Came from out of town. The reviews were good. Did the trail boss 4 meats, 4 sides, 4 corn bread for a party of 4.
So pictured is brisket, turkey, St. Louis ribs, jalspeneo cheddar sausage. Then mac n cheese, sweet potato, pork rinds, cucumber tomato salad and apple citrus slaw. Just hit the spot and oh so very good! Highly recommended. You will be left wanting more :)
