The employees are friendly and down to earth. I love most of their veggies. I haven't tried all their meats yet. If you're looking for a good home cooked meal this is the place.

Omg...everything was delicious. All the veggies were on point. Service was great. Place was packed. Always a sign of great food.

Great friendly staff and superior service. The food smelled and looked good. The portions were large and well worth the price. I had to drive over an hour to get home to dive into the food. We had the fried catfish and baked chicken with sweet potatoes, greens, mac & cheese, dressing. The desserts are a must, German chocolate cake, peach cobbler, pecan pie and a mini chess pie. This food so hit the spot, it was so good. Well worth the drive from McKinney.

My sister has lived in the Dallas area for about 20 years now and she has been telling me so much about South Dallas Cafe, well I finally had a chance to eat it .I had smothered turkey wings, dressing ,black eyed peas, greens and hot water cornbread( if you don't know you better ask somebody). Fantabulous it was all very good and delicious . I also had a piece of cake I don't know what it was but it was yummy as well.. it had nuts in it and nuts in the icing as well !! I will definitely be going back.

Oh wow. Heard about this place on 94.5. Drove all the way here from Richardson for the oxtail. Lord have mercy they did not disappoint. We will be coming back again soon. Now I have the Itus... 🤣😂🤣...😴

The food was amazing. I had the Catfish, Yams, mac and cheese and fried okra. Had to go take a nap when I was done. The German chocolate cake was a bit on the dry side. So I was a little disappointed because it's one of my favs. The customer service was great.

No lie, I go here every week now and some times twice!!! Took a couple of my boys today!!! Got the meatloaf plate with greens, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese and the best sock it to me cake I’ve ever had!!! The lemonade is the best too!!!

The food was delish and the place is beautiful. Service was awesome and everyone was friendly. I had the smoked pork chops with 3 sides. The flavor is amazing. Also took home chocolate cake that was enough to share with 2 others. I will be back.

Very nice restaurant! They need to update their pictures on google. Loved their catfish, but the service of the waiter was even better. I didn’t get his name, but it was his birthday. All the waiters on the dinning area were very attentive.
