Dickey's Barbecue Pit on Medical District Drive is a true gem for barbecue lovers. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm aroma of hickory smoke and friendly faces. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends and family. But the real star of the show is the food. Dickey's slow-smokes their meats to perfection, resulting in tender, juicy brisket, pulled pork, and ribs that fall off the bone. I highly recommend trying their brisket sandwich, piled high with melt-in-your-mouth meat and tangy barbecue sauce. The sides are also not to be missed. The mac and cheese is creamy and comforting, the coleslaw is crisp and refreshing, and the beans are smoky and flavorful. Dickey's is also a great place to get your fill of classic Texas desserts. Their pecan pie is sweet and gooey, and their banana pudding is the perfect way to end your meal.

We had an awesome meal here. Nick the owner is amazing. We had the picnic meal with brisket and ribs, pulled pork, loaded potatoes, creamed spinach and bbq beans. Nick and his staff helped guide us through what/how to order and we were not disappointed. If they ever open a spot in Nova Scotia we’ll be frequent guests, for now it’s a must have when we’re in Dallas.

The new owner is great! Customer service is top tier not just from him but his employees as well. The food is always hot and tasty! I've been in this area training for the last 12 weeks and let's just say if I don't get to stay at this store, I'm going to miss this location but will definitely make a trip to come and eat!!!

Great BBQ! Absolutely the best Dickeys I have ever eaten at and I don’t think there’s any better barbecue around this area. We had the brisket and the sliced chicken breast. I thimk it’s all about the management. The guys take a lot of pride in the food they put out and they are also really Great hosts. Will be back again for sure!

I’d like to say “thank you” to the new ownership running things at the Dickey’s BBQ of Medical District. Great job on your Ribs & Brisket!!….., absolutely perfect! Great dry rub seasoning, perfectly cooked, moist, and with a delicious flavor! Your sides are excellent…., they just seem more fresh, prepared better, and overall…, taste great! I was greeted with good’ol southern hospitality…, and the people working there were a delight to talk to. Made me feel like I was a guest in their own kitchen! I’ll definitely be back! So whether you have dined at this location or not…., give these guys an opportunity to show you how Texas BBQ is supposed to taste. And I’m willing to bet you’ll be greeted with a genuine and humble attitude of gratefulness. Enjoy!!
