Nodding Donkey

Watched game #1 of the World Series, our server Kaitlin was always checking on us for the several hours we were there… we ordered several things off the menu, all exceptional which is saying something with having a packed house for the game. We ordered the lemon pepper wings three times, they were that GOOD . Wish I could duplicate them at home. Smoked and lightly fried?

I asked the bartender for recommendations before I left, and I think you should ask for below. I went midday on a Friday to this bar after an early morning shift at work. I decided to review this bar on a last minute hunch it would be decent. The lunch crowd was receptive and friendly. It's sports bar vibe couldn't be helped, since the garage door was down I knew it wasn't a busy time. I ordered the special of the day on the recommendation of the bartender. They were chicken fingers fried to expectation. I received a nice helping of tenders, so I asked for some to go. I didn't over eat so it was simple. So before I left I asked the bartender for the one thing she has to tell folks about and she said the purple nurple and donkey kick are the best drinks on the menu. Take it from an expert. Exactly!

Best sports bar food I’ve had! The bbq tacos (pork and brisket) were fantastic and full of flavor. Also enjoyed the guacamole. The environment was great for a fall TX evening with food and football. It is a loud and lively place so not a place for a quiet dinner and conversation. I really licked that they played the audio from the game. One advice is when a server comes, order something, it may be a little while before you see them again.
