This was my first visit to this restaurant. I have to say that it was a deluxe establishment. Lively, infested, and very clean. The staff greeted my large family birthday gathering with professional, polite and prompt service. We ordered oysters on the half shell appetizers as well as several others.

This place is awesome. I've tried several Korean BBQ places here in Dallas and Joa is the best. The quality of food, especially the meat and kimchi, is amazing. I enjoyed the marinated short ribs the most but all the meat in the JOA platter is high quality.The variety of sauces, kimchi and sides were comparable to other places. Cocktails were delicious. We brought our 1.5 yr old daughter and it was kid friendly. The staff and service was impressive. Our server Le Le(sp?) walked us through each course and cooked it for us at our table. She was great and really made the experience memorable and fun. We will be back!

Food quality was very good but the service was ok. This was the first Korean BBQ restaurant that does not cook the meat for you. I agree with the other review, if they're going for a more high end feel, their service needs to be better. The side dishes were good but did not come with the steamed egg soup which is atypical Overall, good quality but some things are lacking

I had an outstanding dining experience at JOA Korean BBQ. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the bulgogi – it was bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. The culinary journey this restaurant takes you on with their Korean BBQ offerings is truly remarkable. But what truly stood out was the dedication of the staff. Despite a minor issue with our grill, the team at JOA Korean BBQ went above and beyond to ensure our dinner was enjoyable. In particular, the manager, Sean, was a true professional. His proactive approach and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. JOA Korean BBQ not only serves mouthwatering food but also offers exceptional service that turns a meal into a memorable experience. If you're looking for a place that combines delectable Korean cuisine with a staff that truly cares about your dining pleasure, JOA Korean BBQ should be at the top of your list.

Today was my 30th birthday and my best friend Melody took me to have Korean BBQ for the first time. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting yet upscale at the same time. I loved the interior design with the red low lighting. The booth we sat in was perfect for just the two of us, intimate but with enough space to make our own. Then there was the service 😍 Yazan was our waiter and he was with us every step of the way. He was kind and helpful the entire time. Since it was my first time, he walked me through each step of the experience. Yazan cooked our meats for us, chatted us up, and was an all around delight! We were both so happy that he was our waiter and we know he will bring the same exemplary service to anyone that he serves. He's also a Libra and that's a win in our book 😂 The food was delicious! The meat was tender and juicy with amazing flavor. The sides were all their own stars and only served to enhance the meat that we had. I can't even begin to remember what we ate the whole time we were there, but Yazan would remind me with each new meat what delight we were going to experience next. We each had a Peach Prosecco drink that was tasty with a healthy pour. Melody had only briefly mentioned that it was my birthday, and Yazan surprised us with the whole crew singing happy birthday and some delicious dessert with moon pies and vanilla ice cream complete with sparklers. I could not have asked for a better birthday dinner and will be returning very very soon! Thank you Yazan and thank you Melody and thank you JOA Korean BBQ! Everyone should go here and experience it!

We were going to another Korean restaurant for dumplings, and unfortunately, the dumplings had already sold out. The owner was to ask if he went to a Korean restaurant which one would it be. He said he would go to JOA Korean BBQ. It turns out to be a diamond in the rough. The atmosphere was excellent, the food was even better and the waiter was top-notch. No negatives at all. Even the water was refreshing.
