Captain D's

My visit today was disappointing. Walking in my shoes stuck to the sticky floor, through the entire store. It took over 10 minutes to get our food. The tables were dirty and sticky, the chair I sat in was broke and almost fell through. While waiting on my loved one in the bathroom, I took a look up and was shocked by what I saw. Mold stained ceilings where something has leaked and not been fixed. The smell of the store was like a moldy dirty smell..(not a fish smell). Then while taking my loved one out to handicap parking , the shift manager was standing right outside the entrance, smoking a cigarette, which wasn't an appropriate place. (She was also mean to a worker over an online order, (I could hear everything) and seemed to have an attitude the entire time I was there) If the front of this store is this dirty, I wonder how dirty the kitchen is. This store needs a serious deep cleaning.

I love this location. The food is always fresh and delicious. They don’t take the food up earlier to save time, which I personally appreciate. There is a very sweet lady that works the drive-thru most of the time. I wish I could catch her name one of these days to mention it. She is truly so kind and friendly. She’s worked there for at least a few years, light colored hair. You guys have a great employee with her.

I like the food at this restaurant, but I will say that if I go through the drive thru, I am almost always missing something. Recently, I've started going inside to get my take out and more care is taken by the staff, when I do this, to ensure I have everything I ordered. The side items and batter dipped fish are great, but the chicken tenders are grocery store quality. Overall a decent experience.

So I don't normally go to Captain D's regularly because of the size of their fish. I mainly go to their competitor larger fish same price. It's like comparing fish sticks to fish fillets! But anyways I do like Captain D's crab cakes. So I ordered the seafood Deluxe platter. Which comes with two crab cakes! And then got my wife's order. Went home and realized once I open the box that I was missing the crab cakes! I mean it happens maybe they were busy through the drive-thru I don't know. But was very disappointed because that was the whole reason why I went! Instead of going to their competitor and getting a full size piece of fish.
