Ended up sending back our steaks. Over cooked and over seasoned. Mashed potatoes had hard uncooked pieces in it and the Mac n cheese was mush. The drinks had way too much alcohol (all most like drinking blue colored shots). The sampler platter was good and the rolls.

Logan's is definitely a popular spot on Dayton's south side.
There is a wide variety of appetizer, éntree and desert options to choose from.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant itself is always clean and well kept. Just watch out for the peanut shells on the floor!

We ordered 4 meals, 3 were real time but all had mistakes. We waited and waited, after a long time I asked for a manager. She made it right on the bill but that won't help this restaurant get better. Somewhere between server and cook things went to hell. On top of that bartender gets my beer, its spilling over onto the bar, he doesn't offer a napkins or anything. The customer next to me did who appeared to be a regular. I'll never come back one of these restaurants. Buyer beware.

This review is based on my experience on Sunday, March 11, 2018 between the times of 5:45 & 7:45pm.
This place usually has excellent customer service and food, on the weekdays that I've been, so I came here with 3 guests expecting it. We were seated promptly at a table near the bar, but took our waitress 10 minutes to bring our place-setting and take our drink orders, which at that time was just water. Another 10 minutes passed until our water came (6:05). At that time, we ordered an appetizer and a Long Island. 10 minutes after ordering the Long Island (6:15), it still had not arrived and we noticed why - the bartender was quite busy mingling and frolicking around a table of men and, when she wasn't doing that, she'd disappear to the back of the restaurant. We watched this go on for about 15-20 minutes (6:30) until our waitress brought the appetizer. At that time, we reminded her of the missing drink and also ordered a 2nd one to avoid another delay. We also ordered our entrees at this time. Both drinks finally arrived 15 minutes later (6:45). We sent one back to be remade after one of my guests observed the bartender dumping some of the cocktail to make room for the Coke; the amended drink was made properly. Our waitress then brought out our Caesar salads...without croutons. At that point, there was no point in making a mention of that. We just hoped our food would make up for the sub-par service.......
.......which, 30 minutes later (7:15) it did not. The picture you see is EXACTLY what I was presented with. I honestly thought it was a joke. That right there is their Moonshine Salmon and Shrimp combo. The portion size is comparable to what you might get from the kids menu. At this point, I involuntarily started chuckling at the sight of my mere morsel of a meal; the rest of my group looked at me and my plate with whole-hearted sympathy. But, alas, I picked up my fork (and jaw), and started to take on the feat of conquering my mighty kids meal. The waitress must have saw my disbelief because the manager came to the table to offer another dish........and unsolicited advice that maybe I should have selected another option; I declined both offers. We were also offered dessert on the house; that was declined as well. We thanked her for her attempt at reconciliation, finished our meals and settled the checks. I then apologized to my guests and left (7:45).
In summary, I'm not sure what issue was occurring with the staff that day. Our waitress only had 2 tables to wait and that itself seemed like a daunting task for her. The bartender frolicking around shouldn't be happening as often as it was when drink orders are waiting to be completed. Also, when you foul up a cocktail, dump the whole thing and remake it. The manager on duty needs to establish some discipline and order within her shift crew. Though business was slow, it's still business and should be managed professionally! It's unpleasant to sit next to an unbussed table with leftover food for a whole hour until it's been cleared. Though my meal portion was minuscule, the food here has always been delicious and for $16, I suppose I got what I paid for. My real issue was with the staff and their work ethic/conduct this day, which turned a 1 hour visit into a 2 hour mess. The next time, should I decide to dine here, my visit will likely only be on a weekday.
