Yami Sushi

I ordered from this sushi restaurant through Uber eats. Ordered their "Any 3 rolls special bundle" and the "Orange crunch roll". I have been disappointed in the past, but this was one order I would place time and time again. The sushi was delicious, presentation on point, and came with extra sides of sauce and utensils. Needless to say, I was very pleased. Will definitely order from here again, or try a dine in experience.

Room temperature and bland food. Sure everything was there, but everything was lacking. The side of rice was the best part, but I can make that at home. My teriyaki beef was basically soup and barely any teriyaki flavor at all. The miso soup was missing seasoning, and we got a salad which was made with very minimal effort that anyone could make at home.

Ordered chicken teriyaki. Chicken was dry, sauce was super watery and terribly. I threw out the chicken after 2 bites. Sushi was also not good, but that was at least palatable. The miso soup tasted weird as well. I know they are running takeout only and short staffed from covid but this was really bad.

First time here since it was the closest sushi spot next to my university; I didn’t have high expectations since the interior looked pretty plain and it wasn’t busy, along with the other reviews. I ordered a simple cali roll and eggplant tempura. It was amazing!! The eggplant tempura was generously sliced into thick portion and perfectly fried; it wasn’t soggy or undercooked, and super crispy. The cali roll was such a great deal for 8pcs and the rice portion was really big, BUT the rice was just so fluffy and perfectly seasoned that it complimented the rest of the roll. The staff seem like a nice, small family. I will definitely come back to support this place again!! So glad to have such a great spot that I can walk to :) The prices are great too even though I know a lot of sushi places are currently struggling with supplier shortages. Good job, Yami sushi! Please support them by placing pickup directly. My food was ready in less than 10min!

Great food for reasonable prices. I got the Atlanta roll and dynamite roll. Both were good but the Atlanta roll was probably a top 5 sushi roll for me. My wife got the steak hibachi which at most places she would drown in yum-yum sauce. She wasn’t a huge fan of the shrimp sauce they provided but greatly enjoyed the food and gladly ate the hibachi without any sauce. If we are in the area, we will definitely be back!
