Ihop

Our visit this late morning was very pleasant. The food was great, and reasonably priced. The service was beyond exceptional. Krista made us feel welcomed and was on top of it. Thank you! There were two situations that occurred during our visit. One was the fire marshal conducted a routine inspection causing our and others orders to be delayed unexpectedly. However, the staff explained, apologized and with their own initiatives made amends to patrons for the delays. These situations with government regulations are understandable. Yet, there was one patron who became very disrespectful with the staff. This is unfortunate but I think the staff dealt with the upset customer with respect even if the person was hateful! Kudos to the staff!!

I'm not sure what's happened to the place but it isn't the bright, clean, happy atmosphere it use to be. It was dirty, dark and just felt gross. It didn't gel that our table hadn't been wiped down before they sat us and the 2 people that noticed said they would get a trash and come wipe it down but neither one ever did. And the food was not worth it either. I use to love the chicken fajita omelet, but this trip has broke me of craving that. Hopefully they get it together soon so that it is the same clean, bright, happy, great tasting restaurant it once was

First we get seated and takes forever for our waitress to make it to our table. Then the people that sat down after us get their drinks & food BEFORE US. I asked for 2 eggs over medium and crispy hash browns. They come out oily and chopped up so I asked them to redo them and they came out the EXACT same way but with less oil. I told her you took my plate to remake hashbrowns and now my eggs are cold because it took so long. We get the receipt and instead of taking off my 2 egg breakfast she rings it up as an employee meal?? I am beyond confused. I am in Decatur every other weekend and I won't eat here again. Chili's in Decatur is just as bad. I'ma try sonic instead.

Ordered gluten free pancakes with 3 of our 5 meals. Two came out correct and the other came out with regular pancakes. I had already taken 3 bites and realized it probably wasn't gluten free. They finally remade the whole meal, at my request. I had to beg for my meal to be comped due to it being an allergy issue and me not being happy since I'll probably be sick for days after eating them.

If you’ve ever heard of the rumors that IHOP is no longer the place of happiness and deliciousness, but instead the place of sticky tables and rotten food, THEY ARE WRONG. I came into this restaurant with the expectations of a mens public restroom, but man was I blown off my feet. The second I took a whiff of my Belgian Waffle I felt my feet curl, my tongue salivate, and my cheeks blush. Not only was the smell spectacular, but the taste was 100 times BETTER. If you ever want to experience true Heaven, come to this IHOP, you will not be disappointed. Service is an 11/10, food is an 11/10, and even the aroma of the entire building is an 11/10. Best experience of my entire life. If you have expectations, be prepared for them to be exceeded above and beyond, because this IHOP is the place to Go.
