Baytown Seafood Restaurant

This review is only for this location. All of the other locations are owned by different people. If you're a seafood lover then this is a great choice. Whether it's fried or grilled they do it great. Lots of choices and combos. Also best boiled crawfish in the area. Cant beT the price points Only bad thing I'd add is that they need to replace their TVs.

(02/23/23) Dropped by for lunch with my 2 kids. Our former seafood restaurant in the area had closed recently, and we needed to find another. I tried the seafood platter, oyster po-boy, okra and calamari. I have to say: For a small establishment, they have their stuff together. The flavor throughout was phenomenal. I was particularly impressed with the calamari- not chewy, and not heavily breaded- just how I like it. Also, our waitress was courteous and attentive. We will be returning there soon, no doubt.

3/2023 - Crawfish has good flavor and getting bigger. Still too early to be consistent. Price is right. Popcorn shrimp dinner has decent portion and comes with 2 sides. Bowl of Gumbo is large and tasty. Calamari is sized like onion rings. Reminded me of the size used for off-shore fishing bait. Owner is a nice guy. 3/2022 - hot steamy crawfish, need to lrg size. Pricey but good. A little wait but they were crowded and everyone was ordering crawfish. Most places I've been this year have little ones (bee size) and many were mushy so I was happy to find some good crawfish this year. Overall, better than a few years ago. WTG 2/2018- Warm beer, no Cocktails. Slow service. Couldn't get waited on for a second beer. 3 lbs Crawfish - tiny (Feb 2018) and oily but flavor was okay. The platter had puddled oil setting at the bottom. Popcorn shrimp was crispy but heavy grease taste. My date only ate two. Last resort on my list for date night.

This was my first time ordering food from this place...I have to say the food exceeded my expectations after reading some of the negative ratings. I ordered oysters on the half shell, side of fried oysters, calamari, shrimp cocktail and 3 hamburger baskets for 66 bucks. The burgers were pretty damn big, but the patty needed a bit more seasoning, the oysters on a half shell were tasty n not "fishy", the calamari was not too chewy and cooked just right! I can't comment on the shrimp cocktail cuz we ran outta space in our tummies! My husband and children agreed, this will be a repeat restaurant!
