Stay alive! We need cafeterias to stick around. I would give 5 stars except they never seem to have casseroles anymore. Or the chopped steak on the kids menú. Don't know if these are cost cutting measures or what, but they should be brought back. Luby's gives me that throw back vibe with decent home-made like traditional American food that doesn't seem too unhealthy for you in a calm and relaxing environment. Oh, and at least stay open until 6pm.

The food was good. I don't really care for the hamburger steak with cheese on top because it does not taste like 100% ground beef, they must use additives to the meat, and not great texture! It didn't sit well in my stomach either! The salads are good. The veggies are good. The bread is good. The tea is good! The service was excellent!

We love Luby’s ... had early Dinner - Liver & Onions - plus Chicken Fried Chicken mashed potatoes - garden salad was cooled and crisp ...Ladies & Gents working serving line Friendly & Large portions of delicious food - everything tasted great . Joe was our Waiter , very helpful & professional - we talked briefly, discovered Joe was a US Navy Vet , my Wife & I enjoyed the good food & excellent service ... many thanks to the employees who made it possible , Roland & Monica Dressler

Always wonderful food and portions. Know many of the staff personally...like a family..very helpful. Corporate needs to seriously consider leaving our Deer Park location in operation. This is the only cafeteria style in our area. Needs to be for numerous reasons, one of the nutrition servings for many of local senior citizens. This location is a great location.

I just started eating here after living in Deer park after over 30 years. Was looking for something new to try and thought I might enjoy something from here. Well I can say that the food is not that bad I feel that for the portions that you get it's just on a tad bit pricey side. I've never had any problems with any of the service. I always order ahead of time online and pick it up through the drive-thru. Twice they didn't have the dessert that I wanted and let me choose any of the other ones that they had as a substitute. Only once did they forget something on my order. They're really really quick. usually says it'll take about 15 minutes when I place the order online but I get a text within 5 minutes and that my order is ready. I haven't eaten at any other cafeteria type restaurants to gauge it by but I would eat here again. Good for a night when you're too exhausted to cook at home and would prefer something other than the same old fast food.

I ordered a Christmas dinner from Luby's for pick up and it was a pleasant experience. I arrived about 15 minutes before my pick up time and my order was ready for me. They even showed me what was in my order so I knew that everything was there and printed out the instructions on heating up my meal, thank you!

Great place! 5 Stars All the way! Bought a tray of baked macaroni for a Christmas party. Got it to the party and opened it up. Bug surprise! It was regular mac and cheese! I called to whine and they connected me to the manager. I explained the situation and with no hesitation he said "I am refunding the credit card charge now. I know there is nothing I can do now that will make it right. The next time you come over let me or the MOD and we will make it right." Class act all the way! And the regular mac and cheese was spectacular! I love this place! Good people good food and good service all add up to a FANTASTIC VALUE!!!
