Spanky's Urban Roadhouse

We've driven by this place many times saying we need to try it, simply because of its name. We finally did on December 16, 2023. Our server's name was Meagan. She was excellent. We were greeted and seated quickly. Meagan was not only quick to get us water and take our order, she did it with a great smile and attitude. Meagan checked on us often to make sure that we were having a good experience. We started with their fried pickles. We're not huge fans of pickle chips but these were a pleasant surprise. Thick cut with breading that stayed on even after dipping them in the tasty Chipotle Ranch dip! They were also good on their own and we ate them all. (See the pictures attached). I got their chicken tenders and my wife got their fish tacos. Both meals were delicious! We were pleasantly surprised and left full and happy. I gave Meagan a $30 tip in hopes to make her day. We would recommend trying this place and you'll be lucky to get Meagan.

This place has really changed over the years. It used to be a cool hole in the wall bar food spot who served the best burgers in town. Now it's a little nicer but the food is still good. I miss the bogo burgers a lot. We used to get Buffalo burgers bogo and be able to save 20 bucks - Lol, not anymore. It's still a good spot, though.

Stopped by this restaurant near the University of Denver campus on a Monday evening for an early dinner. We were greeted right away and seated at our table without any wait. Menu has a good variety of food items and they have daily specials as well. We had a Reuben sandwich and a Cobb salad that came to about $30 plus tax and tip. lots of seats and tables, and parking is free although the lot is not that big. Give it a try!
