Jay's Grille & Bar

Found this bar and grill along Washington Street on a Saturday and decided to stop in. It sits on a bit of a hill so one can get a view of downtown Denver. The food is typical fare for a bar and grill - burgers, wings, and deep fried items like cheese sticks and onion rings. The chicken wings are different; they're cooked but not crispy or juicy on the inside, and they come naked with sides of sauce (i.e., not tossed in the sauce). Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. A good-sized parking lot and patio seats if the weather is nice outside.

The sweet lady (long black hair) was one of THE BEST bartenders I have ever received a drink from. She had a great smile and was all around WONDERFUL. She understood what I wanted, and the michelada she made was the bestest best I have ever had. It's been a few weeks since I first went, but I have been craving one of her beautiful micheladas since! I can't wait to go back!!! Also, this is a place my bf and his coworkers regularly visit after work. He says all the bartenders here are fantastic

Very nice Owners. A simple menu, but good variety. The restaurant is very clean. The salad I ordered was delicious. I think that the customers may get more value, if the tables and chairs were placed in such a manner as to maximize the great views. The bar is being renovated and thankfully so. Im happy these folks bought the place. The previous owners gave up. These owners bring a new perspective, with Asian and American flavors and a personal appreciation for their customers. You can feel it. Give it a go.
