Mickey's Top Sirloin

If you want really good food without the gastronomic arrogance that usually comes with a quality restaurant, look no further. Great appetizers, entrees, and drinks, no attitudes. Mickey's is halfway across Denver from my apartment, and even with the cost of a Lyft home, I still consider it worth the trip.

This was our first time here, and it was absolutely amazing. Our server, Meghan, was extremely nice and helpful with all of our questions. We both got the fillet, which was cooked to perfection! Bonus, they make everything in-house daily, including cutting the meat themselves! Would highly recommend this place for any occasion!

Reminds me of the neighborhood steak houses from years past, the restaurant is not going to win design awards, but that's not why you go here. You go here for a pure, delicious, steak that's perfect just the way it should be. And our server Shelly, took really great care of us., including a sampler of a variety of their dishes when we told her it was our first time there.

So my 7 y/o daughter and I ate at Mickey's last night for the first time. The place is very unassuming; but from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated especially well. The young lady that seated us was very friendly and engaged my daughter in pleasant conversation about her school while we walked to the table. The waitress, Alyssa, arrived immediately and took our drink order. I needed to run back to my truck for a moment and Alyssa made me very comfortable about leaving my daughter stating she would look after her. I was only gone about 3 minutes, but when I returned, one of the managers, Shelly, was at our table talking to my daughter making sure she was fine & entertained in my absence. From there on it continued to be a great experience. Alyssa helped us decide what to order and was perfectly attentive throughout the meal. The food arrived in an appropriate time frame and was very good. Shelly made several rounds through the dining room checking on every table. My daughter and I had a great experience overall and will certainly be back regularly.

This little off the beaten path steak restaurant is wonderful. I ordered a blackened Mickey’s sirloin and it was one of the best cuts I have ever had. All hand cut beef and cooked and seasoned splendidly. I decided to skip the restaurant side and instead ate in the bar. Ally, my server, was at the top of her game. So professional with a unique sense of humor but most importantly; she loves where she works and is definitely an asset to the team. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Denver. Thanks Mickey’s and Ally for a remarkable meal and memory.
