Yahya's Mediterranean Grill & Pastries

Run don’t walk to Yahya’s! My family stopped in for an early dinner on Sunday, after an afternoon down the way at the Denver Performing Arts Center, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with how delicious everything was. The owners are so warm and welcoming, and our kids said it was the best meal they’ve had, which is high praise in kid world and something they never say. Several people around us said it was the best hummus they’ve ever had and I absolutely agree! We ordered the Cheese Roll appetizer to hedge my bets with my kids, and I was the one pleasantly surprised as they were so yummy, the Chicken Kabobs were perfectly seasoned and cooked, as well as the Steak Kabobs had a delicious sauce, the balaclava was beyond delicious and what surprised me the most was their smoothies were perfectly fresh and not too sweet, that I kept sneaking sips from my kids. The blueberry was phenomenal. Everything felt fresh and well made with the seasoning just right and all the accompanying sauces. Parking was easy right nextdoor, and we absolutely will be back, and I will dream of that hummus til then.

Can't wait to go back! We came here for dinner the other night with a party of 6 - they allow reservations in advance and it was no problem booking a table earlier the same day. I would recommend a reservation if you plan on eating in because they were busy! It is a smaller space, but they were cranking out food and take-out orders like they were a big restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly - the head chef even came out to greet us and ask how everything was multiple times! The care shined through in the food as well. We had the baba ganoush, cauliflower, and falafel appetizers - I could honestly recommend all three of them. The falafel was some of the best I've ever had! For the main courses we all got kababs - I got to taste all of them (chicken, beef, kefta) and they were all great. I'm partial to kefta and it was delicious! The main courses come with a side of seasoned rice, pita bread, and hummus. It was a LOT of food for what it costs! I will definitely be back here again.

I recently visited a Mediterranean restaurant that blew me away with its delicious food and charming atmosphere.
