Kassai Sushi

The sushi is fresh and flavorful. Great to sit at sushi bar and see the chefs put so much into each piece. Very friendly and talented. The service is friendly and quick! Great local business that should be embraced by the community! Best all around sushi experience in Denver! Ask for the specials, they are the best👍😃🏆

Kassai was a perfect date sushi spot. My wife and I ordered an appetizer of gyoza and uni, the mummy roll, spicy tuna roll, and the dragon roll. The sushi was delicious and tasted fresh. The fried banana and ice cream were perfect. The service was outstanding. We never had empty water glasses, and we were regularly checked on without it being too much. The atmosphere is calm, with good music and low lighting for a mellow experience. I also want to note to readers that we ordered two bottles of saki and a few other things (that I can not remember the name of) that put our bill higher than average. So, don't fret over my review's price mark.

This is our local sushi place. We eat here weekly at this point as the kids as well as us love it! They are child friendly and don’t mind all the mess they make and have sushi stick training tools for them to try to use the utensils. I’m always trying new rolls as they are so patient and helping us learn about new flavors!

I got the Phoenix and Hot Night rolls. I worked in a great sushi restaurant for over a year and I would say that this place is definitely good, but not great. Fish was good taste-wise, but texture combinations were a little off in the rolls. Rolls didn’t hold together very well, almost every piece fell apart. They also loaded the to-go box with tempura crumbs and it was way too much. Just a sprinkle would be sufficient and prevent the sauce from sticking to the lid. Would try again for dine-in to see if other items compare!

I just ordered DoorDash which is way overpriced. However, I’m so pleased with the quality, flavor and mouthfeel. So good. On par with the sushi I enjoyed in South Korea. 5 stars isn’t enough. If I could have stopped shoveling it in my mouth I would have taken photos, but it was too good. I can’t recommend this place enough.
