It's a gem. Great BBQ Pastrami and Chicken this visit. Tried the pulled pork and burnt ends too which were pretty dang good. The Mac and cheese (truffle, but not too much) and banana pudding were perfect.
Good balanced BBQ, the things supposed to be heavy were heavy and the things that should be light were light.
Plan for early lunches or you'll find they start running out of things. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to get here more often.

This place has been recommended to me for years and this was my first chance to try. The brisket is the best I have ever had in Colorado by a long shot. The pastrami was very unique and delicious. I also really enjoyed the jalapeño BBQ sauce.
The favors are intense and rich, I could see how this food isn’t for everyone.
The setting is unique, a little intimidating on the outside but warm and friendly on the inside.
If you are a BBQ fan this spot is a must.
If new to BBQ you might want to work up to these flavors.

This is the first spot, my brother and I wanted to go to when we landed in Denver. The staff is really nice and very helpful when we were asking about parking. They were very knowledgeable when we asked questions about portion size the place is nice and clean and the food is amazing. We got a mixture of everything but before we left took some cornbread and banana pudding which I ate all night because it was that good. I would also recommend the potato salad and mac & cheese for sides.

While the pastrami outshined the regular brisket, somehow the smoked turkey ended up being our favorite. The truffle mac was incredible. Smoked beans were way better than expected, with several chunks of sausage. Pork green chile was mostly pork, with a few chunks of tomato interspersed.
Of the four main sauces, the citrus one was the standout. The Smokey jalapeno was great, as was the Carolina gold. There was a sign saying they could get a fifth sauce, an Alabama style white sauce, though I recommend skipping it unless you're a big fan of mayonnaise.
The location felt very... barbeque, if that makes sense. Big row tables in the main room with smaller tables and couches in other rooms and a spacious patio. Utensils come wrapped in handkerchiefs. Definitely worth a visit.

Context: I was born and raised in Texas
This place could only be more Texan if they played exclusively country music, though I'm not asking for it. The meat is juicy and delicious and the sauces are fantastic, my favorites being the Carolina gold and smoky sweet. The sausage is the best of the stuff I've tried. Banana pudding is pretty legit, too. Has actual banana bits in it.

The best Texas Style BBQ I've had in town. We had the ribs and pulled chicken cooked just right. The beans were a little "eh" for me. But, overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Getting out of our vehicle we could smell the BBQ Smokey goodness!
We ordered the brisket, tri tip, chicken, mac & cheese, custard filled cornbread and banana pudding.
All three meat choices were mouth watering delicious. The sauces available were are good but the meat was fantastic by itself.
The Mac and cheese was really good. We were impressed. It is hard to find a good Mac & cheese.
The custard filled cornbread a new thing for us to try. I am not a fan of cornbread but the middle part was good to me :) We were there for the meat anyway.
The staff was friendly and patient.
The restaurant was clean.
There is also a mostly covered outdoor patio.
We were craving BBQ and this definitely made us happy!

The brisket was incredible. Sadly a lot of the meats were served somewhat lukewarm, however. The staff was friendly and after the military discount, the food was very affordable considering the quality of which (especially compared to most other barbecue establishments).
The ambiance was austere, however. No music and the isolated yelling of individual patrons punctuated the otherwise silent atmosphere.

No wait and plentiful great cuisine. Burnt Ends and Brisket were tasty and fitting for a king/queen. Recommended by a friend and it was worth it. A little off the beaten path but area is quiet and venue is rustic. Military discount adds to the friendly atmosphere.

Came here because of the Michelin 2023 rating. 🏆 We had the brisket, pastrami, burnt ends, and pork spare ribs. All of the meat had perfect bark and were smoked to perfection. The truffle Mac and cheese is creamy and the custard filled cornbread was good. It's not sweet, just rich. I liked the Carolina Gold and smoked jalapeno BBQ sauces best. The citrus chipotle sauce would go well on poultry.
Seating in the dining room is limited, but there's a large covered patio out back. We snagged a parking spot right out front, but you will need to find street parking when they're busy.
I'll be back to try the other menu items!
