Cheba Hut Toasted Subs

Cheba Hut is a MUST visit spot for lunch while in Denver, especially while "elevated" I wish more restaurants served Kool-Aid! The sandwiches are fire and their Kool-Aid just hits the spot! Grab a large rice krispies treat to go, they're delicious. I'd go back to Denver just for Cheba Hut, Meow Wolf, and the Brutal Poodle.

I love this location. Scout and Riley are two of my favorite people and they are both fabulous bartenders. The overall vibe and service are phenomenal. The food is most of the time correct to the order and has never been inedible, which is more than i can say for then Colorado Boulevard location. The last two times I went to CoBlvd I got sandwiches swimming in so much house dressing that the bread was falling apart before I even picked it up. Four stars for food because the kitchen is somewhat inconsistent. I feel like the kitchen has a bit of a "revolving door" issue because I almost never see the same people back there. Food modifiers occasionally get missed or ignored. That said, I've never needed to eat this locations food over a bucket and occasionally missing the odd free topping isn't the worst thing ever.

Love to eat here, but if you’re in a rush you may want to order ahead. Takes awhile to get your food. Most of the time I have a great time there. Some of the bartenders are a bit…….. judgy and weird throughout all cheba locations. I visit all of them at least once a month due to the convenience of them being either by my house or my work. But I mean if you don’t like tips 🤷🏻‍♀️☺️ either way vibes are good and a great place to take “out of towners that don’t have legal weed” as it is marijuana themed.

I'm not a big sandwich eater generally, but this is close by and affordable so we've gotten it quite a few times and so have to say it's pretty good! I usually go for the Thai Stick (teriyaki pineapple chicken) or the AK-47 (French dip). The French dip is a bit hit or miss, but the Thai Stick usually hits the spot. Fun vibe inside and lots of stickers and wall art to look at/conversation starters. Just know that it's all stoner-themed, so probably be comfortable with that before going or taking someone here. A Colorado staple fast casual food joint!
