Bear Derbion

Came here on a Monday afternoon for a light coffee but the French toast also caught my eye. The presentation was beautiful and the texture of all 3 components greatly complimented each other. The latte was also amongst the best I’ve tasted. The coffee felt smooth and left little to no bitter taste in the mouth. The atmosphere was cosy and warm and would be a great reading atmosphere. The service was splendid the waitresses were very polite and were very welcoming. Overall a very nice experience and I can say confidently that I will be returning.

Started with an early coffee which was great especially the de- caff. Probably the best I’ve had. Liked the place so much we went back for lunch. Both had the ham eggs Benedict, perfectly done. At £10 great value. Staff were very efficient, polite Alex was our waiter, quick( although they were busy we only waited a short time) would recommend. Waiting for the one to open in Nottingham now.

Review for Later @ Bears. Service was very slow to take our order. We ordered a Halloumi Burger which was very thin and dried up - completely different to the Iron Gate Branch. Also ordered the BFC (Butter Fried Chicken) which was very nice. We then ordered the Carrot Cake and Brownie for dessert, we were told we could only have what was left from the coffee shop day time (there was no dessert specifically made for the evening). The carrot cake was very nice but the Coffee Brownie was dry - you could tell it had been out all day. More cakes needed for the evening. Ordered Chai Tea which was so-so. Definitely had a better experience at the Iron Gate Branch.

Popped in for a late night coffee on the off chance and wow... well made, strong and super tasty. Range of milk selections which is a massive tick from me. Cakes all looked well made and presented. Menu seemed to have a great range and so will return for brunch/lunch. Atmosphere was chilled, decor and vibe is cool and inviting. Have a Sunday routine and usually drink at Costa, but blend of coffee and taste was much nicer, will visit again, thank you.
