Romano's Pizza

Ordered a typical chicken finger sub. Ended up with the chicken tender sub I ordered plus parm sauce hiding under what I actually asked for. It honestly seemed like they made a chicken parm sub but tried to wipe the sauce off before throwing what I ordered on it. Chicken was not crispy. Seemed like it was recently wet or wiped down. Even the wrapping paper and bread was soaked through. My kids meatball sub had cold sauce. He’s never thrown away a sub ever but he did today. Looks like I’m not the only one pointing out similar issues with this place. There are far to many good food options in this town to give this place another try.

Just ordered from Romanos in Derry and this is some of the worst food we’ve had in a while. An entire steak and cheese sub was missing from our order to start. We ordered two types of chicken tenders, a steak and cheese as well as a tuna sub. Also asked for honey mustard, that was left out too. We got credit back from door dash for the missing sub. So, we tried to just enjoy what we did have delivered. The fries and chicken tenders are laughably bad. Probably frozen, dumped out of a bag and reheated. They’re dry, bland, over cooked and hard to even chew. Fries are just bland and soggy. Literally couldn’t even finish a tender. We also got the mango habanero tenders….bad idea. They were $13, come with no fries and are the same bland frozen tenders covered in a sticky sauce that was nothing great as well. For $13…it’s a total rip off. Then, we say fine…we’ll just try the tuna sub. There were no size options to choose from. So, what you get is basically what most would consider a small sub. Stale bread, bland tuna and the roll is too small to even fit standard fixings. My wife compared it to eating one of those tuna finger subs you get at the grocery except at least those have fresh rolls, ha. We ate the tuna sub only because it was the only edible thing. Most of this order got walked to the dumpster where it belongs. Plenty of other places to order food like this from that actually take pride in it, don’t bother with this one. Every time I have ordered my small plain pizza and a salad they have been perfect. The pizza top is not burnt and has the right amount of cheese and the tomato sauce truly adds a nice flavor when you take a bite. The salad has always been freshly made and no old lettuce in the salad. I have tried other places and found they serve the best. I always get my food to go and bring home. If you choose to eat there, you will find the ambiance to be warm.

Stopped in today, just happened to be in the area. Very rarely do I visit Derry, but from now on Romano’s is going to be an essential pit stop. Ordered a pepperoni pizza it was delicious, crispy crust, homemade dough, perfect blend of cheese, sweet yet savory sauce and nice thin sliced pepperoni to top it all off! Also the staff was extremely helpful! The girls that work there and the gentleman who I think is the owner treated me like family. The interior is beautiful flat screen TVs, nice comfy seating plenty of room, and immaculately clean. Would recommend anyone in the Derry area to try Romano’s, they really know what their doing here.
