Donagheys is definitely the best chipshop in derry. In nearly 10 years I've never had a bad takeaway from Donagheys. Consistently excellent 👏 👌

Unfortunately the food I wanted was unavailable but third choice was satisfactory and edible. However was totally let down by the service this time. Staff were mid conversation and although the shop was empty it took the lady 5 minutes to actually engage and take my order and even then pleasantries were not made. Does not take a lot to be nice.

I can't comment on atmosphere as its a take out chip shop. This place is top notch the best chip shop. Good sized serving prices are good and the food is excellent. Gluten free on most stuff [please check menu] highly recommended

I can’t recommend Noel, Lorraine and all the staff at Donaghys enough. At the weekend we placed a massive order for guests at my birthday party. The food arrived piping hot and it was delicious ! They even cater for people with gluten intolerances.
People could not stop raving about how nice the food was especially the fish which flaky white cod in beautiful batter. Honestly the best fish I’ve ever had.

We are only in Ireland for a few days and when we googled fish and chips it told us this was the best one. And it was not wrong! Probably the nicest fish and chips I’ve ever had and very generous portions

Since my last review, i can say that my opinion on there food has definitely improved. I can say this because i have eaten from here a few times since my last review. AMAZING to see as i have been coming here for years since I was diagnosed with celioac disease.....
The staff seem to be more confident in processing your order so as for now I am happy.

the owner needs to be in shop more often because the quality of the food is slipping a bit, half of the time the chips are not cooked properly and they almost always run out of tartar sauce which I think is a joke, why sell fish if you cant keep enough tartar to go with it. I'll change to 5 star when these issues are resolved
