The Embankment Bar & Grill

The front of house lady was really nice and welcoming, she was happy to chat to us about the menu, and was a pleasure to talk to. Reasonably priced and tasty food. We had the vegetarian fajita, the vegetarian stir-fry, and salt and chilli chips. Both mains were very nice. Whoever cooked the food was overzealous with the chilli flakes, unfortunately, and there didn't appear to be any mayo to help cool the food down. We were offered vinegar or ketchup. Haha. Service for my drink was slow, but the lunchtime rush was just starting so I think it took the staff a while to realise I'd not had my drink yet. There was a good mixed crowd including couples, families with kids, a group of teenagers, and a bunch of what looked like college friends. Doesn't appear to be exclusive to any particular demographic, very inclusive. Overall, a pleasant experience. I would go back to try the other dishes.

Superb food! Burgers are messy and massive, just as they should be.😉 There is a great outdoor eating area which is perfect for when we bring the dog for a walk in the area and want to stop for a bite afterwards. If eating outside table service can be a bit slow so sometimes it's best to grab a menu and pop into the bar to order. Food will come pretty quickly then. Would highly recommend.👍
