Colony Club

While it is cute, it is a lot smaller than what it appears to be on the brochure. I wouldn’t have a wedding of 200 people there. I don’t think it’s worth the price. They have the ceremony and reception in the same room, and push the reception tables to the back of the same room while the ceremony is going on. The bridal party and groomsmen rooms were also pretty small. My fiancé and I felt our hearts sink when we entered the bridal party dressing room, we both felt some weird energy in there.

The best, beautiful dream venue in Detroit! The staff were the best, friendly and very professional. The catering (part of the Colony Club) was excellent and just what we ordered. I cannot say anything negative about our experience at the Colony Staff and about their Staff! Make sure to check this place out if you are planning a wedding of any size! Tell them the “Mother of Tatiana” sent you! 👍🏼😊

All I can say is WOW! We knew from the second we walked in the doors that we wanted to be married at the Colony Club. The architecture and beauty of the venue captured our hearts immediately. If you want to feel like an absolute Disney princess, this is the place to be! We had our ceremony on the 4th floor and the reception in the 3rd-floor ballroom. From the second we signed the contract, to the moment the party ended, the Colony Club staff has been everything we could've wanted and MORE! We were originally supposed to get married in July 2021 but had postponed to January 2022 due to Covid. The Colony Club was nothing but accomodating for any change or request we had. The food was phenomenal, even better than at the tasting. We received nothing but compliments from our guests on the service, food, and the absolute beauty of the venue. The venue managers, Nathalie and Preston, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our day was perfect. I can honestly say I do not regret hiring a day-of coordinator because the Colony Club staff made sure every detail was perfect, and that our timeline was executed to a tee. Everyone always tells you that something will go wrong on your wedding day, and I can say with confidence that that was not the case on our day. It was as picture-perfect as can be. I am so thankful we chose the Colony Club!!!

The best venue; the best service. Not only does the colony club look like something from a Disney movie, but the service was beyond exceptional. My wedding was delayed for 1.5 years due to covid, and the colony club was extremely accommodating and patient. I appreciated how diligent, punctual, and professional everyone was. Everyone constantly communicated and addressed my every concern and question. My wedding day went so smoothly because of the colony club. Every detail, every aspect of the wedding reception was executed to perfection. I didn’t have to worry about anything. They’re super reliable and thorough and detail oriented. I can’t stress how amazing the service was - from the venue manager to every single person on the staff the night of my wedding - they fully executed their roles perfectly. My wedding was what it sad because of the colony club and I will forever be grateful for how amazing, efficient, reliable, exceptional, and responsibly they were. This is the best venue to have a wedding. It is so beautiful; it looked like something from a fairytale. Special shout-out to Nicole and Jessica -they were so kind, reliable, detail-oriented, and ensured everything went smoothly.

I am just a little late in writing this review since our May wedding, however I had to make sure I got this in. Since I first ever saw pictures of the colony club through this website and watched the video tour, we knew this was our venue. We saw the venue in person and it sealed the deal! I cannot stress enough how incredible it was to celebrate our reception at an “inclusive” venue. Colony Club took care of our linens, chairs, setup, tear down, menu, drinks, everything. They had a day of coordinator for us who was also just fantastic. They worked so incredibly with us along our whole planning process and truly minimized our stress tenfold. We had to do so little additional decorating aside from centerpieces because the ballroom is absolutely stunning in itself. Our guests loved the history of the building and the beautiful touches. We received soo many compliments. The food was fantastic and that was one of the highest compliment items of our night. The servers and all the staff were lovely and polite and took care of all of our guests all night. I would choose colony club over and over again!! Beautiful, easy, and beyond incredible staff to work with. Easy parking for guests with parking passes, and amazing venue in the heart of Detroit. Thank you Colony Club!

Attended a wedding here. The venue is beautiful and the free parking at the Fox was much appreciated. On the flip side, the elevators didn’t work and the food was just okay. My filet was completely red inside even though one of the servers said they were cooked medium well. Also, the vegetables were very salty indicating they probably weren’t fresh. However, the food served during the cocktail hour was so delicious that folks were going back for seconds and thirds!
