Detroit Shawarma

The service was impeccable the food was good the chicken had a nice smokey flavor there is not a lot salt but that's great for me though. The service was pretty fast for me I went at a none busy time. I didn't care for the curry Potato Soup it wasn't my thing at at all. I'll go back one day and order something different I ordered the Detroit full plate with chicken shawarma and rice and picked veggies Soup and salad comes with it I upgraded the salad to a fattoush salad. Oh and they give you alot of food.

So I tried this the other day since its in walking distant from the house. I had steak shawarma fries and my husband had chicken shawarma fries. The garlic sauce had too much zest. My steak tasted like it was made from the thin sliced hoogie meat. His chicken had a better flavor and texture then the steak. I will give it another try...Ill try a regular shawarma.

Oh my goodness!!! This place serves up deliciousness wrapped in pita bread! Generous amounts of perfectly seasoned succulent meats and vegetables and the delicious homemade garlic paste have me there at least once a week. Clean, fast and friendly service each and every time I've been there and the prices are very reasonable. I can honestly say this is my favorite place for carryout.

I was glad to find this restaurant close by my sister's home. I really like middle eastern food and they have good variety, great tasting food and fast service. It was a real treat to have choices other than the usual fast food and soul food restaurants that we usually find in the neighborhoods. The food tasted fresh, my mother, sister and I were able to find food that we could eat. Neither My mother or I eat meat so the chef was very accomodating and helpful. The woman at the counter was polite and friendly. Overall it was a good experience.

Great food, reasonable prices and good staff. Dale at the Chene location is very professional and customer oriented. He could use some help. While my friend and I were waiting for Dale to complete our order , two customers left because they felt the wait was too long. My friend and I however, felt it was worth the wait!

Service was good, young lady at the counter was very nice. It wasn't busy when I came in so it was pretty fast. chicken shawarma was ok.... Been eating Bucharest for years and Bucharest is just better. I will however try this place again and order something different, like one of the bowls next time
