Applebee's Grill + Bar

This review doesn’t have nothing to do with the service or food of that establishment. I am just bringing the horrible experience, the lack of respect, their unprofessionalism showed towards me. I was looking for a part time job server, and i applied for this establishment right after my application they call me for an interview. The manager who call me asked what day i would be available for an interview and i told her Sunday then she set an appointment for Sunday at 1 pm 01/30/2022. I showed up on time with my résumé on hand, the host offered me a seat and told me he will let the manager know. I was waiting, waiting, waiting after 30 minutes; no water, no updates nothing they left me completely hanging to an appointment that the lady set . But it’s not over yet I went to ask the host my self what’s going on, he set he will check for me: he came back and told me they were busy( why would you set an appointment with someone knowing you can not respect the time) . I kept waiting, waiting for 30 minutes which make my waiting time 1 hour then another female showed for interview too. Finally, the AGM showed up and i thought she will interview me first guess what she call the female who was there just 5 minutes. At that time, i decided to walk a way but decided to stay which was a mistake. She came back and asked me what position i was applying something she didn’t ask the female, she offered me seat and left again. Waiting again Then the GM came, before asking any questions about the she told me if i would be interested in a barista position, i was shocked because it means we not hiring you. I replied no i am not interested. She proceeded asking meaningless questions. After she said she will go get the AGM to come talk to me. She came back and told me the AGM is busy and they will call me for an interview with her, Which i proceeded to take my résumé an left. It left me wondering why i get treated like that i wore professional clothes. I work many jobs, i did many interviews but i never experience that disrespect, and i don’t know why. I paid a parking fee, wasted my time, to be just disrespected i don’t know why and it hurts Treat people like you would like to be treated. And learn to be fair

The staff and the food are A1! Manager Felicia Bellamy is the best! 🏆 She takes the time to make sure our special order is correct every time, as well as ensuring that we receive our City Of Detroit employee discount. Whenever Jermaine is cooking, you can count on the food tasting fresh and looking beautiful! 😍 🤗 And I won't forget to mention Ms. Makayla who greeted me and took my payment with ease, using multiple payment methods. Keep up the excellent work you all! See you next time 😋🍽️

Sierra , Nicole, Taylor, Felicia, and Jess. You want to remember this staff. Staying here for a dance convention and there are hundreds of people. I have no idea how the staff did as well as they did with how short staffed this restaurant is. They were all amazing and the food was great. You need to give them a raise before you loose them. Unbelievable circumstances with a tremendous amount of people and they handled all with smiles on their faces. You are lucky to have them.

Sierra is the best manager, she looks younger but carries herself wonderfully. Came in for my favorite wanton tacos not knowing they did not carry them due to their limited menu, Sierra convinced me too stay and try the fiesta lime chicken and it was wonderful. Thank you again sierra for your wonderful hospitality

Most applebees I've gone to throughout the states I've had a bad experience. But this location does well. Had Sierra's help tonight along with her staff. They all did well. Motivated people. Good dinner meal. Glass stayed filled. Had a great conversation to boot as well. Expectations were met and will return. Thank you Sierra and your people. Had chicken plate and rice and was good. Having motivated employees who want to be at work is America's new struggle and I never felt like I was a burden. Sierra was happy to serve and make sure my friend and I were taken care of.

My friends and I started coming downtown to the office 2 days a week post pandemic and wanted a place to kill an hour after work. We walked into Applebee's and was greeted my Nicole. She was so bubbly and happy to help us. She is friendly and goes out of her way to accommodate us. We love her so much I had my wife come down and see for herself and they are now friends. Needless to say we show up twice a week just to have a drink and see Nicole
