Super H Mart

One thing I love, is and H-Mart. I’ve been going to the one in riverdale for years so I was excited to come to this one and see what it had to offer. It definitely looks different on the inside. There’s soooo many people coming and going. I wasn’t used to that so I honestly forgot to take pictures the first time I went. It’s an alright location as far as grocery shopping. I think the highlight of this store is the food mart and the few shopping stores they have to offer. So many cute clothes! I just refuse to pay $80 for a skirt, but it’s cute though. I give this store a 8/10.

MAKE IT A FAMILY OUTING: You can plan a little experience for your family around this lovely store. Show up before meal time to enjoy some great Korean food, cakes, pastries etc. in the food court area. Then, leave ample time to wander through the many aisles. Make it an adventure for the kids- ask them to pick out vegetables and snacks they have never/rarely had. My kids bought some Korean hot peppers (the name should be Red Hot Korean Peppers) and Shitake mushrooms. Then we picked out some Shrimp Chips and chocolate wafers (recommend both). My wife bought some fresh fish that was cleaned and packed quickly. She also bought Gochujang, a lovely marinade or sauce ingredient that has yielded some phenomenal meals already. I picked up some Sake and Korean beer to gift to some friends. I will spare you the whole list- approaching bankruptcy, we picked up some Mochi ice cream last (Matcha was the one we loved and was consumed befoe I could even take a photo) and headed to the checkout. The Doraville store is a bit congested, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our visit. So go ahead, make it Korea night or Korea day and experience something new while COVID keeps international travel painful and, often, impossible.

Best produce and produce prices I've seen in a long time. An overwhelming selection of vegetables, seafood and honestly anything else you can think of. I love this place! And you can eat when you get there at one of their deliciously inviting restaurants so you don't "hungry buy" a bunch of nonsense. Also, don't sleep on the area that's all the way to the right when you first walk in. There are SO MANY things in that corner that will breathe life back into that kitchen of yours. All reasonably priced as well. If you haven't been here, you're missing out. The only "unsatisfactory" thing I will say is this: They have to train their secret shoppers/anti-theft guards to be a bit more tactful. I say this as a person of color who would never steal from a place that I love as much as SHM. It made my wife very uncomfortable. Me, on the other hand, have been dealing with this kinda thing my whole life so it's kinda normal to me and I usually end up talking to the "agent" to kinda ease their suspicious assumptions of me. And by no means will something like that ever stop me from going there and supporting a wonderful business such as Super H Mart. Such good produce! But that's all. Thanks for reading!

Wow this H-Mart is so big and organized. I love this place because there’s plazas around the H-Mart full with entertainment and restaurants. They also have little stores with clothes and skincare. Also, their food court has so many options from Korean cheese corn dogs, traditional Korean food, and dessert. However, the line is super long and disorganized.
