Grand Slam Pizza

2/5 Stars from Travis Patterson. I love the underdog. I love mom & pop restaurants and small businesses. I pass Grand Slam every week for 2 years and I wanted to try them. The sign says “it’s ready”. It not ready. It’s made to order. It was fast though. I only waited 8-9 minutes. The sign says “best pizza” and I’ve had frozen not popular brand pizza that was better. I’ve had gas station pizza that was better. The young lady was nice to me. No real social distancing guidance in the lobby. Pizza and restaurant wasn’t visually appealing. I wanted to ask for a refund when I opened it up in front of her. She went the next mile for me when she admitted that she misunderstood my request. I asked to have all the ingredients on the whole pizza but only have pineapple one the side with the other ingredients. It originally only had pineapple on one half and the other side looked very empty. She went back to add the ingredients on the pineapple side. I appreciated that. Lastly, taste: the sauce & cheese was a bit off to me. Can’t put my hand on it. I ate 2 of the cheesiest slices shown in the picture which were opposite of the burnt dry side. I wanted to finish it but I couldn’t. I believe it was very obvious before I left that I wasn’t happy, and I wouldn’t have let me leave without making a first time customers concerns heard. I came to this place twice. The first time I came they told me they were out of cheese and out of toppings. So they couldn’t make me a pizza. This is a pizza place and they were still open so I kind of didn’t believe them. The second time I came. They had a sign on the door saying family emergency will be back open tomorrow. I’m frustrated because my kids want pizza and they always having issues when I come here. Just don’t even waste your time. Little ceasers is down the street. I try to support small businesses but it’s stuff like this that turns me off about doing so.

Called the day before my kid's birthday party @12pm for 6 large pizza, they told me that I could pick up at 11:30 even they don't open until 12 but they will have my order ready, set in the parking lot until almost 12 and no one was there..... very unpleasant experience, specifically having a kid's birthday party.

The only reason I give 3 stars is because the price and pizza are great for the deal. $5 is awesome. I have to say I just move to this side of town and I’ve only been able to try this place once after trying multiple times. I call and call and nobody picks up during hours. I tried to go to the store twice and it was closed even with the updated hours sign out front due to the pandemic. A lot of cars were right behind me confused and a bit upset. I wanna love this place but they not making it easy on me.

First-time customer. I got a large $5 sausage pizza. It did not take long only one thing I wish was that the toppings were dispersed throughout the whole pizza I love the taste of the Buttery flavor crust. The lack of meet was a small issue but it is a $5 Pizza. Even if it did not have sausage on it it would still be a very good cheese pizza I will be going back the Grand Slam

I’m giving this a extra Star because I actually like the young ladies that’s worked there forever. Erica I think her name isis very respectful and nice. Anyway I’ve been patronizing here for a longtime and I’m honestly disappointed in how the pizza has fallen off in my humble opinion. The pizza is basically all bread and tomato sauce. Gone is the buttery cheesy love that they were known for. I’m doing Pizza Hut for now on it’s worth a dollar more. Sorry but it’s true if the normal girls isn’t there don’t get it
