Melting Pot Restaurant

I had the most beautiful dinner at melting pot, this my new favorite spot. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Wisconsin Trio cheese fondue, had so much fun grilling the land and sea (LOBSTER WITH THAT SUGGESTED SAUCE 😋) and the yin&yang chocolate was BOMB! Our server Taylor went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special, she deserves more than the suggested 25% tip. The Moscow Mule is my new favorite drink, thank you for a special night!!!!

I usually love Melting Pot, one of my faves, but tonight was a subpar experience that will keep me from returning. My daughter was served a salad that we asked to have the nuts removed from (she's allergic), but they still came on it. I couldn't eat my salad at all because it was drowned in so much dressing, it was inedible. No apples for dipping in cheese (just a couple tomatoes, 2 pcs of celery, and a little bread). The other tables around me were given apples, I know because I heard their server go over everything with them. I asked for the chicken to be replaced with steak because chicken makes me incredibly sick and it still came on the plate anyhow. Vegetables served with the main course were precooked and frozen solid. Not fresh. Paid for 2 dinners, but served only 1 dessert plate. Had their mushroom sacchetti, except it isn't mushroom at all. It is a single basic cheese ravioli, no mushroom anything. Still paid full price for all this, so I was disappointed. I usually have such a great experience, so this was definitely one of the worst experiences I have had at MP. Especially for Mother's day.

Nice experience and good food. My kids did not really enjoy it bc they wanted something else but they were open-minded about it. But then again, it depends. Other kids may like it. The only thing why I gave it a 3 stars bc i did not really like how the server was pretty aggressive to get more orders from us. If she could just chill and wait till we finish checking the menu. Aside from that, it was all good.

The food was good and we left really full. There's something about this place.. it's nice but not too nice. For the price you sort of want it to be a little more updated. I think it's been running by the same people since the 80's or something but I'll say that we did have a good time and our waitress was adorable.

Leaving two stars because of previous good experiences, but today would get zero. Our fondue pot was leaking all over our table when we were sat. We waited 20 minutes for a server to come by at all to ask someone to wipe up the water. Finally we had to grab the server for the next table. Our server, Johnette, finally came by and stopped the hostess from even bringing us forks/napkins because we only ordered a cheese and a chocolate course and told us to eat off the skewer and that she could bring us paper napkins if we wanted. Our drinks did not come until the cheese course and we were not checked on between courses. When the cheese course was cleared and I requested a refill on some drinks she said she would bring them with the next course. We waited 30 minutes to get drinks and then another 30 minutes between courses. She brought the check with the chocolate course and waited to see what tip was left for her. The restaurant was only half full so I do not see any reason for such delays or poor service. We’d love to come back, but this restaurant is a treat for us, and when we spend $200 on our family to eat cheese and chocolate yet I’m treated like I ordered a happy meal, I don’t know that I can recommend this dining experience.

I have not been here since I was young, and it is still amazing. I planned my daughters and husbands family birthday celebration and Dana the manager was super friendly and quick to reply on any needs I had to make it perfect. Our server was the best and made the night easy and enjoyable. We will definitely be planning to come back. Would highly recommend!
