White Spot Duncan

My daughter and I went to the Duncan White Spot for breakfast. We ordered the hearty breakfasts with waffles rather than toast. In addition my daughter asked for 1 piece of toast as well as the half waffle. The food was good but when I got home and looked at the bill, we had been charged $3.99 for one piece of toast. When you add that to the $18 per breakfast, plus $3.99 each for a coffee and tea the total for the meal was over $50 with $12 of that being toast and drinks. I called the restaurant and asked if that was normal practice to charge $3.99 for one piece of bread and apparently it should have been $1.85. There was no offer of compensation so I left a message for the manage to call me and it's been 7 days and no call. Hence the review. This is not the first time this has happened at this location. My feelings would be different if I heard back from the manager but I didn't so will probably not be going there again.

Two of us had breakfast at this restaurant yesterday. Although the service was good and the food okay, we felt nickel and dimed by the one each packet of salt and pepper and the little miniature ketchup package. I honestly felt like I was on a plane with all the tiny condiments. And please tell me why coffee is $4 for each cup? Don’t get me wrong ,it’s not like we don’t have money but after two breakfasts and two coffees we were in for $55. If I’m going to pay this for a breakfast next time I’ll go where the salt and pepper is on the table and where I don’t feel like I have to ask for everything that should already be available to me. Not a good experience and we will not be returning.

It took 10 minutes just to get a drink order in (coke) another 5 for a food order of a burger n fries to be placed. Nobody came by to offer a refill of pop or fries and couldn't even see my server to get an extra napkin. She never checked on me at all. It even took 7 minutes just to get my bill. Yes staffing is an issue but the total time from when I sat down to when I paid my bill was one hour 5 minutes. I gave it 2 stars because of staff issues instead of 1 star. Won't go back there again

Delicious! Stopped by for dinner on our way to Parksville and had a lovely time. The kids plate was a ship and my 4 year old had the best time eating her fish and chips and then playing with the ship afterwards (we may have even taken it with us and she has continued to play with it). My dad got the club sandwich on white, my mum got the fish and chips, and i got a mushroom burger. Service was excellent and food extremely tasty. We will be back!

Every time I order from whitespot on door dash, they always forget part of my order. It's not door dashes fault, it's Whitespots. I love having to cook hashbrowns to add to the breakfast I ordered, or make gravy or whatever else they miss. It's annoying. You pay so much extra to get food ordered in and it's always messed up by whitespot. Cmon guys get it together and check your orders before sending them out!
