The Big Scoop

My 2 little ones and I just came in here. The man working (presumably the owner) was extremely friendly and sweet to my to my son and daughter. The ice cream from (Foothills Creamery. est 1969) is unbelievably good. I can’t recall having had better ice cream in recent memory and my daughter agrees (son didn’t want any). An overall great experience.

We only discovered this place three weeks ago but have been back every week!! The girl (wish we knew her name) that works evenings is spectacular!! She is friendly and fast and the ice cream is a generous size and price are all outstanding!! If anyone is in the area they need to check this place out!!! ♥️ Kudos to the owner’s for having great staff and product!! ⭐️

Ice cream was tasty. Lots of flavour options to choose from. Service was friendly. Only 3 stars because I was somewhat mocked by the owner for wearing checkered printed pants when we arrived. There were outside tables available but said owner was seated there and chain smoking cigarettes which made it impossible to use the seating because you know, cigarettes are repulsive. Especially when your trying to enjoy an evening ice cream treat.

The manager (possibly the owner) presents as a loathsome individual. When I walked in the experience was great and I was looking forward to giving them 5 stars with a glowing review. The first real quality ice cream spot I have found anywhere on the island, and the two young ladies working the counter were wonderfully friendly and helpful with all the flavors to choose from. But then an old guy, white haired and clearly in charge of the place came out and barked at everyone. The look on the girl's face whom was aiding me caved in and I recognized the look of someone who is putting on a brave face under abusive circumstances. All the joy of ice cream on a hot summer day evaporated and the experience was completely ruined for me. You have a quality product, a great selection, and excellent employees. Why are you being a cretin? Relax, sit back and let the weather, your product, and your overqualified employees make the money you so clearly aggressively crave. How can a business which specializes in bringing joy to consumers not bring you joy? I am not coming back here. Not when injustice like that is waltzing around unchecked.
