Great food, good and very friendly service. Good space for family. FYI, They have slot machines at the side. Might have to watch the kids not to go inside there. 18+

There was a group of us everyone enjoyed their meals, all the staff were great and lovely, want to say a huge thank you to Rachael for going out of her way while she was busy to light all the candles and bringing out a heavy cake out to our table will be definitely going back

Had dined here with blue cod as fish of the day. It was lightly battered and not dry at all. Their salads are yummy as well. Big servings.

Nice food, pretty good service. The place was pretty full cos it turned out to be quiz night, which wasn't my plan, but it did give a good vibe.

I haven't been here for years so it was nice going back. A lovely decor. Staff were friendly. My only minor gripe was it took a wee while for someone to come back to take our order despite it not being hugely busy. However staff made up for this by being friendly and helpful especially when it came to my friends Gluten-free needs. The food was very nice and we would go back.

We loved the friendly atmosphere of Cableways. It is a great pub which, by the number of AGM meetings and people who know each other, is the heart of the local community. The food was the best pub food I've had in Dunedin. The serving size was generous and beautifully cooked. The service was friendly and inclusive (we've all been to pubs where they treat you as an alien from out of space). They even braved the cold and dark to obtain me a seat when they were particularly busy one night. All in all, a fantastic place for dinner and company
