Rosie's Tavern

Nice friendly spot to grab a beer. It’s not a big place on the inside; a European pub (they seem to have flags of a bunch of different countries, not just England or Ireland) with room for maybe 8-10 people at the bar and 5 or 6 high-top tables. However, they have a decent sized outdoor patio with chairs and umbrellas, and occasionally have live music. The bartenders are friendly and attentive and the prices are decent as well.

If you're looking for a place to have a nice cool drink and slip out of the heat you have found it! Strike up a conversation with the friendly staff and hear the heart touching stories about the photos of pets on the wall and the slideshow. They have a solid selection of beverages and even some popcorn and snacks to much on why you enjoy your drink.

Nothing special, and the place had a nasty smell. I asked one of the bartenders if the owner was available as I wanted to tell them. He just laughed and one of the patrons told me that she rarely comes in and couldn't care less. The great thing about Dunedin is there's so many places, I walked down the street to the Rusty Lyon and it was so superior. Unfortunately there isn't a way to respond to an owners comments. This is what's wrong with this place. Instead of fixing what is wrong, this person just tries to insult me and say that I am posting due to a vendetta. If she just checked her receipts, she would see my credit card receipt. Whenever I have had a bad review in my business, I do whatever it takes to make my customers happy. This person takes the low road, which is sad.

My business travels takes me to the Tampa area several times a year and I like to visit Dunedin. I started going to Rosie's several years back. I always thought the manager, Dwight owned the place as he treated the place like his own. I never saw someone work so hard to make sure his customers were well taken care of. It was Dwight that brought me back year after year. Then the other day I was there and this lady, Julie told me she owned it and Dwight is gone. When I asked why, and if she could give me his phone number, she got nasty. So for 8+ years this lady was never there, now she shows up with an attitude which repels customers. As I was leaving the bartender pulled me aside and said don't worry Julie is never around. So I asked myself, do I want to support a business that the owner is rude? I think not! I will not be going back! If anyone knows where Dwight is working please let me know, I will support that business in a heartbeat.

A local tavern is only as good as the person managing the place. I have been setting up a business in Dunedin and have stopped in several times over the past year. The manager Dwight is the best there is! He makes you feel at home and runs a superb establishment. The drinks are great, and the outdoor space is comfortable, which is sooo important during the pandemic.
