The promised city of gold, el dorado, would be a let down in the face of the achievement that is the golden roll. Every time as i put a tender ripe morsel in my mouth, i imagine it cannot recapture its initial triumph, and yet it does. I fly back to scotland and the thought of it haunts me, sweaty dreams of snuggly wrapped panko prawn paired with ripe fruity goodness. In short, would highly recommend it.

The food is great and the staff are friendly. Totally great value for the price.
We were alerted when we walked in that they are cash only restaurant, we had some cash, so it was not an issue for us.
They also don't serve any alcohol, but that is also perfectly fine for us.

Everything we had a Chizuru Tei was delicious!
The sushi was beautifully presented. It took a little while to come out but they did say this on the menu as there is only one chef who makes all the sushi by hand.
We had a mix of sushi and big plates. The big plate we had was the chicken teppanyaki which was very filling.
The plates were very good quality for very good value.
The only thing to note is that it is cash only however there are cash machines at Haymarket you can use nearby.
Would recommend and want to go back!

Very small, family run business.
Reservation is definitely needed. Food is absolutely outstanding and prices are very resonable for the quality of food. Also have a gluten free menue.

Fantastic food! Extremely tasty. I love the chicken katsu curry from here, it tastes super authentic! The sushi is also a must try.

Delicious Japanese food. We ordered far too much! Tempura was lovely and light and crispy. Dragon Roll was a masterpiece. Everything we had was perfect. Note it’s cash only and unlicensed but they do BYOB.

Good food, good atmosphere and above all is great staff. The main waitress behind the counter is not only attentive but also friendly. Excellent service tbh. Have nothing to complain. NOTE: it's cash only

Best fresh sushi in Edinburgh in my opinion. Make sure to bring cash, place is a cash only payment. Food they serve is perfect. Nice atmosphere. Easily one of the best.

Our first food stop in Edinburgh. This little cozy restaurant is definitely worth a stop! We had the unagi rice box and pork katsu curry rice. Both very delicious and portions were pretty generous. Service was very friendly but be aware no card payment only cash :) We'll be back for sure!

I checked this place on Google Map since they have amazing reviews. Once I sat there I can’t agree more!!!!
Nice sushi and rolls!! I suggest you try their Chef’s recommendation dishes.
Staff was really nice and friendly. I feel very welcomed. I was very impressed with their services!!!
