What a great welcoming to Edinburgh! Everyone was super friendly and extremely attentive. I was by myself and they made sure that I had a table and was comfortable. The food was delicious, I had the fish and chips and the fish was very fresh, and seasoned to perfection! Overall, superb service and atmosphere! If the staff reads this…. Thank you so much for your kindness and friendliness! Great experience!

We really enjoyed our experience at Doctors today . Daz the publican was very obliging when he found out we were from Australia & that the State of Origin was on . He popped it on the television for us to watch .We enjoyed the Haggis fritters , chips & salt n pepper squid as we watched the game . Thanks Daz for making it a memorable last day in Edinburgh

Beyond expectations. Loved it! Best burger and pub food we have had in the UK. Very reasonable and relaxed. Amazing staff makes you feel genuinely welcome and appreciated. I would give them 6 stars if it was an option. Get off the chaos of the royal mile and enjoy an authentic scottish experience!!!!!

Cannot say enough good things about this place! The bartenders and servers went above and beyond to make recommendations, check on us, and make us laugh! The steak and ale pie was delicious, tried all kinds of whisky, actually enjoyed the haggis fritters, and the sticky toffee pudding was the perfect cherry on top at the end!

What the Doctors ordered. After a very busy trip to the Scottish Museum just around the corner (schools were on holiday) we were looking for somewhere to feed the family nearby. Somewhere with space for a newborn in a pram, a three year old and two parents, not much to ask :) We happened upon this pub on the way to the bus stop and realised it served food so we gave it a go. It was spacious and peaceful. A veritable oasis from the busy streets and trendy, tiny bistros. The service was friendly, proactive and positive. Food was good, daughter even finished her chips! Good pint of Guinness. Family was happy, I was happy. Will definitely visit again. Thanks!

5 stars for this pub because I cannot leave 10. Traditional Scottish pub with local food. Amazing fish n' chips and the pie was very good! The suggestion for adding vinegar and salt on our potatoes has changed our lives 😋 👌 . Totally recommended! Definitely I will visit it again when I am back to Edinburgh. Cheers from Greek guys who drink slowly our beers🍻.
