Cosy wee local for my partner and two friends and we semi-regularly come in and always enjoy ourselves. Lovely staff and quirky decor - would highly recommend!

The staff were really helpful in accommodating us with our baby (before 8pm only, I think....?). We had super tasty food - so much better than your average pub fare. Will definitely be back.

Amazing in every respect. The menu is refreshingly imaginative and everything I have had in the past year has been excellent. Lovely people and atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The chicken bites are amazing. Great selection of beers. Awesome service. 95% of the menu is gluten free.

Lovely place with friendly staff. The food we had was really nice and plenty of it. It's also seems to be one of the few places in Edinburgh that have a licence so you can your kids in and they don't mind.

First time here for a European dance evening in the basement. This isn't run by the pub but downstairs function room availability use.
Could benefit from ventilation with 20-25 people dancing (attempts to open a window weren't approved of!).

I would like to start by saying that I've worked in the food/service industry for ten years and I like to eat out a lot. And this place is genuinely one of the all around great places to eat or drink in Edinburgh. The food and menu is quite different from anywhere else with just great flavour combinations. The food was cooked perfect. Simple additions like pickled veg on the side salad, really nice. I appreciate any drinks menu that serves a bloody mary and a Mezcal margarita, because you're covered whether you walk in at lunch or dinner. Strikes me as a place with a strong team and that you're well taken care of. I don't write reviews, this is my first.
I just felt they deserved the praise and more people should be talking about safari lounge.
