The Fountain

Well where do I start. I was here about a week ago , celebrating a friends birthday 🎂. It was a good sized table of maybe 12-14 ppl. Some of us were a little late, but the waiting staff were very patient and understanding . I ordered the steak and bone pie and my partner the crispy fried cod fillet. Both of which were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and a little too much of Italian lager in my case. But my memory is of the staff being gracious, even to the drunk old man 😁. Very much looking forward to my next visit. I came to this very quirky and modern pub with my girlfriend, for some food and drinks. I got served by a young man by the name Tom, who was not only extremely pleasant but a complete credit to the company. He was very attentive ensuring we were fully satisfied. The pub is very well run, with a large variety of products and a perfect environment for some cosy food and drinks with your loved ones. I’ll definitely be back, could recommend this place enough!

Came down to watch the rugby world cup and it was a really great spot, our table was well placed, the sound quality was good and it wasn't too busy there was room to move around to the toilet or the bar. The food was good, we had the loaded fries which were great, the chunky fries were good and the chicken croquette salad was tasty but not the best value for money in my opinion. Drinks range was good, old mout cider was delicious, old town lager and Guinness.

Great quality food, when it arrived. Was apart of a larger party that arrived at 7.30 on a Friday. Didn't even get our starters until nearer 8.30 when you're starving waiting for well over 45 minutes since ordering and main course at around 9.15. Was unbelievably slow to the point you wonder what's going on. Other than that, place was nice and servers were on point. Also, would be nice if windows could be opened up as it becomes a little heat trap at the back of the bar with no air circulating and sun shining in
