Bar Napoli

I wanted an authentic Italian meal to celebrate my birthday and Bar Napoli was recommended to us by a friend who'd visited Edinburgh before we had. We were SO impressed. The atmosphere from the beginning was great, we had a drink on our table immediately. The house wines were to DIE for, absolutely beautiful. The staff are super attentive and our servers Savana and Riad made sure we were constantly being catered for. The antipasta starter was huge and SO delicious, we shared it between 2 of us and the mains were just pure flavours. Absolutely delicious. The staff sang happy birthday to me with a lit candle after dessert 🍨 and offered us a drink on the house. It will be a birthday I will not forget and if I ever come back to Scotland, I will be making a beeline to have that food again! Unreal.

Great little Italian in Edinburgh. Really pleased that we found this place as I wanted spaghetti. I ordered minestrone soup, then the spaghetti Napolena. We shared the homemade bread and a side salad. My partner had the calamari starter and gnocchi with a cheesy chilli sauce. All dishes were well cooked and delicious. I would go back here in a second. We eat a lot of Italian food and went to Italy last year. This food is authentic, reasonably priced, good sized portions and really tasty. I highly recommend!!

This quaint little restaurant was recommended by our taxi driver and it didn’t disappoint. Food was delicious, hearty portions and hot. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. We loved the atmosphere and family owned feel. Reasonably priced. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express on Picardy and it was a short 10 minute walk. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going here for over 40 years, in fact since it opened! I was there last week for my birthday dinner! Superb food, friendly staff and it’s open late which is great if you’ve been out late and got the munchies! I love good food and it’s why I’ve been coming here for so long! Definitely worth trying!
