This place is so amazing i was consumed by poetic inspiration heres a very much uncoerced poem from a young bartender to a young barista and a smol coffee shop on marshall street:
I’ve done much before;
Learned to love fresh fennel and
Soft footsteps on hard floor -
I think im heartbroken
That it took me this long
To taste portuguese-poured
Smile-seasoned coffee and oat.

This place has been one of the cornerstones of my Edinburgh University experience - not only is the coffee excellent, well priced and environmentally conscious, but Jordan the barista (and JJ who is taking over soon!) is incredibly lovely too. Also, if you're ever around on a Friday, there are usually vegan buns courtesy of Baby Faced Baker which are elite!!

The best coffee spot in Edinburgh! Such a good price, and the coffee truly is amazing. Not only that, but Jordan who currently works there is a gem who makes not only my day better regularly but spreads so much joy to all of his customers. You can’t fully describe the happiness a cheapshots visit in words - but I recommend it with my whole heart!

Easily the best coffee in this area. Amazing, friendly service and top quality coffee. Prices are unbelievably reasonable and they always support good causes alongside their great service. I can't recommend Cheapshot enough.

Possible some of the best coffee I've had in Edinburgh. Pulled by friendly baristas in a converted police box (I absolutely LOVE this trend). The flat white was expertly done, required no sugar because it had the perfect caramelization.

After seeing the reviews we visited this little repurposed police box on the way to the museum. Coffee was spot on. Excellent choice of coffee and well made.
The lady serving was lovely and very friendly to us while we waited for our coffee.
