Great place for a few beers, very quirky place!

The food and place is really nice,but the service was truly amazing 11/10. Especially a young lady called Ania made us feel welcome and took care for us in every aspect possible in hospitality. I would recommend for everyone to come in here to dine or drink.

Loved this place and would have eaten here if the website would have been a bit clearer. Overall, a tiny bar makes getting your drink frustrating but once you're sat down, everything is excellent. A lot of choices for your drinks. On the 2nd time we came we got a dessert brought out and a cocktail not on the menu made for us. All with a smile. Go there!

Traditional pub with really quirky décor from 1871 and excellent food. The haggis neeps and tatties have got to be enjoyed, as well as lots of fish on menu. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Edinburgh

A great find amongst Morningsides tumultuous throngs of Gastro Pubs and modern coffee houses. Nothing wrong with the aforementioned however to then stumbles across the antiquity that is the Canny Man is refreshing. Great atmosphere and crazy decor. Wonderful wonderful service and a fantastic selection of open sandwiches. Great work team Canny Man a pleasure to dine with you..

Really old cool bar, huge selection of whiskeys. Great staff, food was really good. It's a very busy bar so if you want to eat there on the weekend you might need to book a table.

A true treasure. Wonderful food, atmosphere and the team could not be kinder.
The setting is simply unique and amazing. Rick Stein was absolutely correct when he named it the best pub in the world.
I always look forward to visiting every time I visit Edinburgh.
The wine list is exceptional and very well priced.
Highly recommended, especially the Sunday roast!

I have been here a few times for drinks etc but I think today was the first time I fully appreciated it! The decor of the Canny Man's is rustic, interesting and thought provoking. There is many a beverage to choose from, especially for those looking to have a dram or two.
Their menu has a good range to choose from too and their food is delicious.
I recommend this pub very highly after my experience today
