Thirsty Pallet

This cafe was fun and upbeat to visit. The service was great and prompt. The prices reasonable and they’re dog friendly. The Ruben breakfast muffin was full mouth experience; sweet and salty without being overwhelming. The lattes were great: rich and full of flavor without being bitter or over-brewed. They’re easy to find and a quick walk from St James Quarter and the hotels in the surrounding area.

Took my mum here on our way to Leith, and thought it was a fantastic café. Our server (I assumed also the owner) was incredibly friendly and helpful with our order, checking everything was okay and giving the place a joyful vibe. Food and coffee were both very good (we had Dirty Breakfast Fries and a Reuben sandwich), it was dog friendly, toilets were clean, and the design was really nice. I would definitely return.

Best eggs totale I’ve had in Edinburgh till now. I come here in a really quiet time to enjoy something typically Scottish. The place is lovely, food really nice, the hollandaise sauce amazing, really tasty and really flavoured, the service awesome and the place really clean and cute. Suggested to come but considered the prices are a little bit high for the area you’re in.

Been here twice for breakfast during our vacation. Lovely café with friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious breakfast/brunch offerings. Highly recommended the Full Scottish breakfast (tastiest haggis I’ve had)and flat white coffee. I enjoyed the warm, tasty, rich and savour Steak and Cheese sandwich - great comfort food. The cafe is doggie friendly

Was in Edinburgh on vacation and stumbled across this place just looking for coffee but saw the menu and stayed for breakfast! So happy we did, coffee and food were both so amazing! The creativity and flavors of the Benedict’s were the best I’ve ever had. Makes me sad I’m not a local, we’ve been talking about the food ever since.

Nice little café a little to the side out, away from all the busy people. Staff are very nice and friendly food is good, chicken salad was good. The full Scottish breakfast... I mean look at the pictures, so much meat, I don't think I've ever gotten a plate with so many kinds of processed meats on it, got meat sweats by the end. If you're looking for a meaty full Scottish, this is your place.
